I have broken a piano string. I broke the Eb1 string. Anyone knows how much it will cost to get a new string and getting it fixed to the piano?

Edit: Got it fixed. Thanks for answering justMango.

Usually the price of one piano string is anywhere from 10 dollars to 50, depending on the quality/brand of the string. I remember that the bass is the more expensive than the treble, but I could be wrong.

It will cost you about 100 (give or take) bucks to get that fixed; my piano tuner can replace strings but I don't know if all piano tuners can do the same thing. For me, if I broke my string, I'd just call my tuner and he will go and purchase a compatible string and replace it; it'd cost me anywhere from 50 to 200 to have all that process done by my tuner. I'm calculating in USD.

How did you break it??? Call your nearest piano tuner/fixer and get an estimate. I heard that if you have some types of piano brands they charge less or more for the same job and string.

the strings eventually wear out; and plus, sometimes if your piano is very out of tune (like mine) and you force tune it back, the tension is so tight that if you play it for a while, it will snap.
