View Full Version : Going insane trying to find a MIDI

Hi, all.

I hope someone here can help before my sanity goes out the window! :heh:

I recently got a new keyboard that has light up keys and you can load files onto an SD card to put into the board. I've found this to be the most effective way for me to learn as I can't read sheet music very well and doing it the way I do also helps with timing. So far, I learned how to play "To Zanarkand" from Final Fantasy X, so I'm very proud of that and want to learn more.

Anyway, another spine-chilling favourite of mine is "The Sanctuary of Zi'Tah" from FFXI and I found the orchestral version all over the place, so that's not an issue. I need to get hold of the piano solo version. I did try to break down the orchestral verison in some MIDI software I have, but it doesn't work well, and doesn't split the left and right hand channels properly. I found the piano version on iTunes but it's not a file I can convert to MIDI. The software that came with my keyboard only converts MIDI to CM2 so if I can only get MP3 or whatnot, I'm stuck.

Can anyone offer some advice, or knows where I can get a MIDI download (free or purchased) of the piano version of this beautiful tune?

You can find yourself a sheet music for the piano part(..since its FF, official release should be available somewhere?)

if you can find a pure piano solo MP3, you can find MP3->MIDI converters have some degree of success. Might have to refine it through a composing tool like finale or something though, which requires some skill.

Otherwise its listen and reproduce.
