I like this movie, both parts of it. Tarantino has made something special here. Not many people I know get its plot, nor can they follow the storyline. <_< That's too bad for them, for it's such a great film. Great characters are introduced, great music and a superb storyline along with fantastic scenes. Well thought over.

What are your opinions on it?

Dun we already have a thread for this? O well, Great movie. Second one was much better than first (If that is possible) Both Are superb. The storyline is one of the best.

I believe there was some talk about it in the General Chat thread, but not as a thread of its own. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Well, I watched the second movie before the first - it made so much more sense that way ;) After all, the scenes don't run in consecutive order a lot of the time anyway, so it makes noooo difference :P

Fave scenes:
The Bride spanking that member of the 88 with the flat of her sword.
The fight with Johnny Mo on top of the landing banisters - such skill!
Elle Driver extolling the virtues of the Black Mamba to Budd.
All those members of the 88 moaning and groaning and dying all over the floor - I just found it profoundly comical for some reason.
All the Pai-Mei bits (except where he gets killed, grrr) - Pai-Mei rocks! :D
Hattori Hanzo v. Assistant - loved the sake argument ;)

"Ooooo that's-gotta-hurt" scenes:
Elle Driver having her eye plucked out (and trodden on! *goes green*)
That secretary women having her arm chopped off - owww!
The Bride getting a shotgun-full of rock salt in the chest.
That Buck hospital orderly having his head slammed in the door half a dozen times.

Nice cinematography scenes:
All the sepia shots of the wedding rehearsal
The snowscape during the battle with O-Ren Ishii
The cool cartoony section where O-Ren battles the assassins
Pai-Mei's temple area

Ach, I could go on about it more but I'll leave others to rave on about how fantastic it is ;)

Best when watched in one sitting,
I am a big fan of Tarantino's style and have seen all his stuff
i feel that everything is well layed out and he was right to put it into two movies.

I found the plot line rather cool aswell, much better than most films that have come out in recent years

Killbill, Volume 1 & 1
Volume 1 and 1?? :heh:

Well these movies are two of my favourite movies. What they lack in storyline depth (come on, there isn't really much beside vengence and revenge) it made up with style. It has to be one of the most stylish movies I have ever seen. Tarantino threw away all CG effects and opted for thr tradition wire effects, which can be well noticed but do the movie much justice.

My only problem with the movie is the final fight against Bill, which in my opinion is just a tad anti climatic. She got all that way and didnt even move out of her chair to kill him (i'm not gunna put any spoiler warnings cause any person in their right mind would catch on that Bill dies with a movie title like 'Kill Bill').

Overall, fantrashtic films. I hope for a DVD box set soon with shitloads of special features please.

i just watched both volumes and i think that not only is the storyline good, the music is AWESOME!!!!

the funniest scene was when Black Mamba orders a 'bottle of warm sake' and the guy was like:

"Sake?! In the morning?" with such a funny expression. After that the Hanzo almost kills him XD

and i like the way California Mountain Snake whistles *tries to whistle*

also did you notice that it was Bill that killed O-ren Ishii's Dad

and that we dont find out Bill's alias until the very end "Snake Charmer" which suits him perfectly

i think it was

1)long hair

2)the sword

3)the same ring thatwe can observe in his conversation with Elle Driver

4)seems just like the thing Tarantino would do. Look at how much attention was given to that killer, which wouldnt have been the case if he was just a nobody. Its seems the perfect irony, that he killed her father and thenshe became his protege

Yeah, it seems like a thing Tarantio would hae done. Tarantino is God. OO;

Great movies but I think they were excessively bloody, but I guess Tarintino wanted it to be like in those old-school kung-fu movies.

what i liked best was when we see the faces of the Deadly Viper Squad. The first Person i saw was Mr. Blonde (he looks just like he did in Reservoir Dogs, the same haircut, suit) and i was like Yeah!!! Mr. Cool is back!!

only then i got really disappointed when he became a regualr drunk cowboy

Had a bit of a change of heart. After watching Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction over and over, I just don't see how it compares much to them. In my honest opinion, the characters aren't as well developed in Kill Bill as in the others (haven't seen Jackie Brown yet)
