Apparently one of the supposedly new episodes "bamboo leaf rhapsody" came out in the middle of the currently running reruns of haruhi yesterday, supporting the rumours that disappearance of haruhi comes in mixed with the reruns in a chronological order this time.

someone confirm this?

Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody was aired, which was not a part of the original series, but that's the only thing that has been confirmed. Kyoto Animation likes jerking around the chain of their fans with this series, so I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't an official statement or confirmation about this.

After all, April 1st was supposed to be a new season, but turned out to be reruns.

Also, it is good to note that after the end of the original airing of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu that Kyoto Animation pretty much said that it was impossible to create another season without redoing the entire story again from the beginning (due to several script chops and modifications).

I hope there won't be a second series, I'm long glad the stupid Haruhi hype has died down a bit, a new series would just start it all over again.

Carameldansen is something that stands on it's own but is equally annoying and should be abolished from the internet :(

Nah, Japan's too busy hyping over K-On to care about Haruhi that much. After all, they're both Kyoto Ani. and they seem to be putting more effort into K-On. Original fans of the novel (i.e me) would appreciate this but probably most of the otakus would be drooling over Mai and her "moemoekyun" crap more.

Cool. I just stumbled upon this 2009's season of Haruhi on KADOKAWA's Anime Channel on YouTube... and they subtitled it! Awesome. This is the direction the industry needs to be going! So far, they only have Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody along with the previous season's shows so they seem to be releasing them on the net in order.

Nice. Better hurry though. The first eight episodes with subtitles will only be available until July 6!

ENDLESS EIGHT ENDED!

Of course it would, unfortunately, I just had a marathon of the entire 2nd series that is out right now...yep, 1 episode and Endless Eight...in one day =_=

I kinda guessed that they would complete it in 8 episodes since it's in the title after all, those 8 episodes are the "Endless Eight"

Children, the moral of this eight weeks of the Endless Eight is this.

DON'T WAIT TO THE LAST FUCKING MINUTE TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK! STUDY GROUPS ARE THE ONLY WAY TO GET THROUGH ENGINEERING IN COLLEGE!

I feel better. ^_^

Actually, this is not the second series (The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya), just a rerun with extra content.

I hope The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya will follow the rerun :)

Don't skip Endless Eight. The end is great.
And if you want to watch the end, watch the other episodes, because the feeling is different when you've watched all of them.

People just ranted about it because they're impatient. The best way to form your own opinion about it is watch it for yourself and judge it...just don't do a marathon like I did XD

Stupid people ranted about Endless Eight because it's (obviously) the same thing over and over again and therefore it sucks, but I actually liked it

Aya Hirana, the voice of Haruhi, had apologized on one of the radio show appearances she made about the Endless Eight. XD

I think three or four episodes could have gotten the point across. I guess I'm not as hard core of a Haruhi fan to appreciate the way the Endless Eight was presented. Was it presented the same way in the Manga?

In the light novel, the loop stops at the 15498th occurrence, which is the 2nd “Endless Eight” in the anime.
