My friend asked my what 'MUS' stands for. Im having a hard time thinking of an explanation. Can someone help me? thx

I'm pretty sure it's just short for music. I could be wrong but it doesn't seem like an acronym and I haven't seen a meaning behind it mentioned anywhere.

well, whats the diff between that and gif and pdf? i think mus can be edited in a program...can someone check?

Oh, if that's what you want. .mus is the filetype used by Finale. I believe Sibelius is working on allowing .mus files to be read or to save as .mus files but I'm not sure so it's basically that .mus is the proprietary Finale notation file.
