Hmm, upload a picture to an image-hosting place such as www.ripway.com (http://www.ripway.com) or www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com)
in the "Signatures" settings in your forum controls, use [*img]URL of image[*/img] (without asterisks) ^^;
don't know if I'm making any sense ><

I'm willing to make sigs and Avatars for those who want them. I'll need instructions and some source material. They won't be fancy, and; until I can figure out how to do so using my own software; you'll have to shrink the file size for the sig down to 50k yourself.

If you're wanting to compress a sig in JPG format you can use www.xat.com 's free JPEG optimiser :)

Unfortunately it's for Wintels only. :ranting::frusty: Know of anything similar for Macs?

I just use Photoshop's "Save optimized" or "save for web"... it lets you tweak JPEG and GIF options and shows the exact file size.

Hmmm...
http://www.filetransit.com/view.php?id=15049 has a shareware tool that supports Mac - it's the only decent one I've been able to find, I'm afraid. Though if you send the image to me I can compress it for you and send it back :)

I have Photoshop LE and used the "Save for web" function when I was creating my own sig, but it still came out at around 130+k. (I don't use my Photoshop much anyway. My Color It! is far more capable when it comes to manipulating images, but it doesn't have an optimizing function...) <_<

Unfortunately that's for Wintel too. :crybaby::frusty: There just doesn't seem to be *anything* for Mac that isn't either for an app that I don't have (non-LE Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw, etc.) or isn't for OSX. (I'm OS 9.2.2...) :frusty: I guess I'm probably going to have to sub-contract my file-shrinking to you until I'm able to find something that I can use... <_<
