So I just got back my AP test scores today and I am so excited that I got a perfect 5 on US Government&Politics! So I was just wondering what other scores you have gotten on other standardized tests before?

5 AP - US Government&Politics - I failed the in-class final which is a mock AP test, and I thought I would do horrible on the actual test when I walked out of the building, so I don't know what happened. Generous grader maybe? Hahaha

1580 SAT - I know... I didn't study or take the PSAT though, so I had and still have no idea how to write their stupid essay which is what killed me...

Exceeds in all areas WASL - State testing is BS, I wrote silly answers to prompts and essays and even made up things about my life to make my essay on "Who do you want to see soon?" prompt (I said my friend, because she is dying from cancer...) more interesting, and somehow I still got "Exceeds." Another example of how serious I took the test was they asked us to outline/write/draw a model experiment concerning breeding patterns of ladybugs or something, and I was talking about sending them to space and changing oxygen content and plasma and other random things... still got an "Exceeds" for the science portion.

What do; AP,SAT and WASL mean? A score of 1580 in SAT. Is that good or bad?

NB: Not everyone is American.

AP tests can be taken (usually at the cost of 80 dollars) and if scored high enough (on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the highest) college credit can be received. Credit can be given with scores as low as 3 afaik, however, it depends entirely on the college.

SAT and ACT are tests that determine how smart you are basically, and many colleges require a certain score for you to be accepted. The SAT is out of 2400 points, not sure about the ACT.

State testing is just to check schools are teaching the right stuff, and to rank schools and what not. WASL = Writing, Arithmetic, Science and Language maybe? I'm not completely sure though, just guessing.

Hmm... Maybe then only American's should only be concerned with scores of American tests? Go ahead, post scores from other tests from other placed in the world, because only people who have any concern over them will do exactly that. Pretty Simple...

I scored 886 in my Microsoft 70-271 and 903 in my Microsoft 70-272 tests last week. Does that count? :P

There is a different SAT in England too taken by all kids at 11 and some at 14. You're expected to have reached at least a level 4 by the time you leave elementary school. I got 5s in everything ^^.

Had a 1720 in my SAT 2 years back and a 4 and a 5 for Spanish lit and language respectively (APs)

Took micro/macro economics and European history this year... since I wasn't doing anything. But havent gotten results yet tho I'm pretty sure I did incredibly poorly on those.

Other random standardized tests I too were... the 2 first levels of the english cambridge exam A/B respectively (yeah... I got a B, go ahead and laugh) and the Toefl... in which I believe I got a 663 for the question part and a 6 out of 6 for the non obligatory writing add on.

Can't really think of anything else off the top of my head.

I believe the APs are graded on a curve based on 3 years worth of exams, I don't really remember so dont take my word for it. (Just a random fact that popped into my head.)

When I took the SAT's only the first two sections really counted. But my combined score was 1680.

And my state's standardized test was a fluke too. The tests have to be fair even to children with learning disabilities if I remember correctly so that really lowers the playing field. The real fun begins with higher education. :shifty:

Keep in mind though, tests are poor measuring tools of success and greatness can be achieved with even poor intentions in mind.

JPLT Level 1 389.

But then you're supposed to renew your qualification every few years or so, and that was back in 2004 :lol2:

Damnit. Got my SAT scores back the other day. Combined score of 1570. At least I got a 9 on my essay... I am so retaking that, even if I am planning to attending music school. :\

I hate standardized tests. I suck at them.

I think I got a 2090 on my SAT (including the essay, which I got a 9 out of 12 on), though I don't remember exactly. I know I breached 2000, because that's what I wanted. I did really well in writing. I've taken a bunch of AP courses/tests. I got 3s in AP Chemistry and AP World History, a 4 in AP European History, and 5s in AP Calculus and AP English Literature and Composition. I also took the SAT subject tests in US History (700), Chemistry (670), and Literature (700). Those are on an 800 point scale, I think.
