Hello everyone. I've decided to get (yet another) instrument, this time an electric violin. However I'm not sure what type of amplifier to get. I'll be using the violin mainly for personal use and playing it in a large concert band. I was wondering if anyone could help me by suggesting what brand/type of amp to get and what wattage.

For practice and small scaled concerts, I bought myself a 25 watt electric guitar Montery amp which only costed me $240 (AUD).
You want more power for larger concerts without amps supplied, but it sets you back in portability, weight and cost.

Thanks very much, at least now I have an idea on what to get; and it also fits right around my price range too.
