I'm trying to get Miku to sing a few english words, but as you know she can't. So a work around is to use japanese syllabaries that "resemble" english words. Apparently I don't speak japanese. So I'm asking some of you (especially noir) to help me out. The words are "my way" and "god bless" (from the melancholy of suzumiya haruhi - God Knows...). For "god" I know there's "ga" and then I can slice a "d" sound and attach it at the end of "ga" to get "god"

Maybe taking a look at the kana charts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kana) for a bit will help, since you'll get familiarized with the sounds that are produced.

It might also help to install Japanese fonts on your PC.

"My way" in English you'd use "mai wei" for Japanese (マイウェイ)
"God bless" in English would probably be "goddo buresu" (ゴッドブレス)

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I deleted the japanese.dll in vocaloid so the interface in Vocaloid is english and I can type in romaji instead. I'll let you know how it turns out

Why bother with the vocaloid though? The thing sounds horrible.

It's better than nothing? Unless you have a better idea. I'd love to get real people to sing it, but I don't know if that's even possible.

Vocaloid only sounds bad if you're foolish enough to think it's supposed to be a substitute for a real voice in the first place. Apples and oranges.
