I hate to have to post a new thread, but the other one just wasn't working.

Well these are some of my more relaxing songs. Feedback is much appreciated!

Thanks :)

Hello! :)

I listened to your songs!

Blue trees is a really nice piece. I really like it! I just think because of this style, a solid melody is just so, so important. I think the notes you had for the melody (in the piano part) were good, but it needed more rhythmic variation. In the first bar of the piano where it goes D,A,G,F#, I think could do more then just minim. I have attached your melody, (I HOPE YOU DON'T MIND!) with a few more rhythmic variations to show you what I mean. I think you could have a really solid melody :)

At the Docks had a really nice feel to it. It's just again, the melody. This time it did work really well, but I think you needed to leave SPACE. The listener can only take in so much at one time, so don't feel like you have to fill in every single beat with notes. Space is a GOOOOD thing haha! It's really, really nice though!! Maybe...the 80's drums are a little powerful haha, but after a while it sunk in a little more ^^

Wake up in tall grass was a really pretty piece! Well done! :) Haha. Umm....well.....maybe you can add a melodic motif? haha. I'm so sorry for picking on your melodies but I just see so much potential for solid melodies in your music, so I feel I should express my opinion. Your harmony is REALLY good :)

Remember this is just my opinion, so you don't need to listen to it, but yea..That's me haha! You have really nice music though! Keep it up! :)

Thank you so much for your opinion! You aren't picking on me at all, it's great to get some feedback, i don't get many chances to speak with other composers. I'm definitely going to start working on some better melodies haha, I know i'm lacking in that area. I saved the pdf, but my adobe is giving me problems. I'm excited to see your ideas though! And thanks again for your input.

It's ok!

I like your melody writing skills, I'm just suggesting "fine tuning" in a way haha! Yes! This is the place for talking to composers! haha!
