I think there is no Japanese name. Maybe something like Lasutu Eksailu or something.

I think that's close, but perhaps more like Rasutu Ekusairu; there aren't any l's in japanese.

There are, L and R just have the same symbol and the pronunciation is somewhere between the L and the R sound. - Kind of like the Dutch R.

And don't speak against me, I have a song where they clearly sing "mysteLy" instead of mystery, which means that there IS an L sound or something simular in the Japanese language, and since it has the same symbol as the R sound, they mix it up all the time.

you asked for the name in japanese...

that's read as "Rasto Eguzairu"

...don't ask me why the gu is there, i thought it was supposed to be ku too.

and there are no syllables that start with L in japanese. english words with L in them are still pronounced (as accurately as the speaker is able to pronounce english...) the same way, but the katakana would be written with R replacing the L.

Thus making L and R have the same symbol. I've heard enough Japanese to say that there are L sounds in there, I'm not a complete moron.

Sinbios

no, that just means L is converted to R in writing =P

this is horribly off-topic, but R and L are just merged into 1 sound, so ル sounds like a mix between "ru" and "lu".. sort of like saying "roo" without moving your lips and using your tounge. As for writing it in romaji, it doesn't really matter, either work fine ... there's a reason people try to avoid using romaji.

In the case of last exile, using a romaji "La" makes more sense because the english word starts with an L.

So far saw the first 3 volumes (still got one more to go). The graphics are good obviously, really funny at times, some emotions are shown but not really that much

overall 'slightly better than good', but not something i would recommend if you're looking for deep and emotional

to me, it had that old Final Fantasy 6 feel to it. Maybe that's not the right description, but for some reason it made me feel nostalgic. (damn why am i feeling nostalgic at 18? @_@)

i liked it a lot but i kno a lot of people who thought it was too slow and boring.

i apologize for saying earlier that it was not emotional.

in the 4th volume you start seeing the feelings of the characters more clearly which i think is great ^_^

gotta buy the 5 & 6 to finish it
