Hello together,

I wonder if some of you could tell me your top, let's say 5 till 10, Piano-Songs, which can be played by one person with two hands.

Some that I actually love to play:

1) To Zanarkand (or the whole ending theme of FFX)
2) Sadness and Sorrow (Naruto, I think)
3) One Winged Angel (Do not know which FF this is from)

You see I prefer songs from animes/mangas/ whatever, but what they share is that I think a japenese songwriter has written/played them :)

Clint Mansell - Together we will live forever (the fountain.. god this song kills me)

yuki kajiura - rain and storm (.hack//sign soundtrack,not soo sad but wow!)

Miki Higashina, Yumiko Takahashi - Reminescence (suikoden 2 ost.. not too sure about the composers here)

Yann Tiersen - Comptine d'un autre été (or something XD Amelie movie ost)

Christophe Héral - Thoughtful Reflection (Beyond Good and Evil OST.. though the atmosphere might come through the background and reverbs here~)

I'm surprised Comptine d'un autre été got mentioned. It's a really nice piece that impacted me the first time I listened, possibly in part due to the accompanying video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZJDNSp1QJA).

I remember something about it needing 3 hands at one point though.

I like 'Alone' from Full metal alchemist.

"You are my love" from Tsubasa chronicles.

and

"Here to stay" from Bleach. I think "here to stay" is overlooked. I think its an awesome song and its been playing in my head forever!!

I really liked this piece too. I'm still waiting to get my hands on the sheets someday.

I have just listened to the music you have advocated to me and I have to say THANK YOU very much, all of you :)

I think Gundam Seed (I haven't ever seen it!) does have very nice piano themes :)

Wind Crest ~the three trails~ is a very nice piece; be sure to look up the version from the FFX Piano Collections. As is Eternity ~memory of lightwaves~.

Dearly Beloved, from Kingdom Hearts Piano Collections, is amazing. So is Missing You ~Namine, but the songs are rather hard. :<

Sad, huh? There are lots of sad songs, but there's lots of personal taste as well. The Final Fantasy [whatever] Piano Collections are a nice place to start, though.

Nicol's Piano from Gundam Seed. Its really sad.
