This thread should justify my existence here, since i frequently ask myself what is an eva fan doing in a music forum...

there are a lot of great novels in this world, and there are a lot of great novellas (short stories). This should be a place where a person posts a link to a site where we can read the short story and then engage in discussing it, classifying it and when we're really professional - even giving them our personal grades out of 10 or something, maybe awards and even tackling novels. But thats for later, right now we'll just share good stories (any genres) and briefly discuss them... theres only one rule - before posting a link to a new story, you must first read all the stories already posted!!!! that way we can avoid lists of links and no discussions...

From experience, all short stories come in a mix of these genres:
Romance (no explanation needed, usually includes two lovers)
Humour (XD)
Originality (stories with a lot of imagination eg. "Alice's Adventure in Wonderland")
MYT (=Makes You Think: include philosophical ideas, make you stop and think)
Sad (no explanation needed, usually the happy ending that we wished for to happen doesnt)
BBM (=Brings Back Memories: usually in endings, something that makes you remember how things were, has a patriotic uplift eg. 'the last royal guard standing in front of the door that leads to the Queens room, wounded heavily... nevertheless he proudly raises his head and charges the infinite army with a shout "its not over yet" and dies', always includes the Last of ******)
Coolness (some gangster stories have them, an atmosphere of cool-guy eg. Indiana Jones movie)
ReRead Compatible (ive noticed that some books i can reread easily, while others i simply cant, and because its very important to be able to enjoy a book many times this factor is important)
~Unsurpassed~ (books which are great, but its hard to pinpoint why eg. classics)

So these are the different traits of novels that i noticed, if any one knows others, pm me so i can add them ( i want this thread to be strictly on-topic)

The Witches of Karres by James H. Schmitz (http://dahak.ne.client2.attbi.com:8080/BookSamples/Collections/TheWitchesofKarresChapters/TheWitchesofKarres_01.php)

a humorous short story that has some unexpected turns and is a bit original... unfortunately, its not the kind that makes you think- just one where you can laugh and reread.please enjoy, and tell me what you think of it
