I came to this web a while back and found their midi is near perfect.

For example: (k-on yui's character song) http://j-ken.com/category/all/data/728865/

however, I don't know how to download any of the midi.
I tried signing up, but didn't work.

and I see: "DL数"
download numbers, right? so there should be a way to download it.

if anyone can read japanese or can try, please let me (or us) know.

thanks in advance!

Stuff I tried:
1 registering and tried to buy/download it, but can't understand japanese: failed
2 saving the page: failed
3 search in the computer history and temp: failed
4 using some swf downloader and download that player, yes, I downloaded it, their flash player, no midi: failed
5 tried searching the swf file that links the midi, can't find it: failed
6 now I am on this forumn ;p hoping someone can help.

I actually would pay for the midi, it's like buying music sheet. No, it's exactly buying the music sheets (if you have the program to extract the mid)

I came upon that website a while back as well. Their midis are quite amazing, though they may not necessarily make for good transcription aids, since a lot of them aim to sound as closely as possible, and not notationally as correct.

Back then I couldn't figure out how to download directly from the site either, I check my internet cache to see if I can pick it up there, and found some mp3s that were what was played from the website. I'm not sure if the site re-records the midis as mp3 before streaming them to prevent stealing, but it's a possibility if they're selling them. If that's the case, it's likely impossible to get the midis without some kind of purchase.

Maybe someone else has more insight into this than I do.

It looks like they're ringtones. And you get the files by e-mailing them? I'm not sure.
