Hi~

Is there anyone who knows where I can download the full version of Overture 4.0? I desperately need it to open an .ove file. I hope the links will be Megaupload, Sendspace, and Mediafire (anything but Rapidshare).

Thanks in advance.

We cannot condone these highly illegal actions. ;)

Well technically I suppose you *CAN* download it legally from their website, but it costs $300. How "desperately" do you need to open that file?

Try the demo, if that allow you.

Try these links: Trial Version of Score Writer (http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Audio/Score-Writer.shtml) (Open OVE files) or Trial of Overture (http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Utilities/Overture.shtml)

Hopefully, you'll realize that there's a lesson here, and that is: It's best not to use ove files. More universal file formats, like MIDI, will probably serve you better in the long run than narrow-use, exclusive file formats.

So, if the trial version of score writer allows it (good chance it won't), I'd recommend you convert all your ove files to midi and/or any other file types available for export. Note: I'm not saying you should then delete your ove files, hold onto them if you ever need to convert again. Just don't use them, since they're used to force people to buy software. This is also why I don't really like MUS files (even if it is possible to see them free in Finale Notepad).

If it ends up that you have no choice but to actually buy Score Writer to see those ove files, then go here (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002EJTPQ?tag=musicsoft-20&camp=14573&creative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=B0002EJTPQ&adid=0AHYSGYN65AV7A976GCR&). Only about $50+5 S/H. Sure beats $300, or whatever outrageous price they're charging.

Hope this helps you.
