Okay, so I like photograpghy but I have the crappiest camera in the world. It's so sad... a healthy portion of potentially amazing pictures must go untaken (by me) because my camera simply cannot handle being useful.

Alas... I shall be getting a new camera soon! Nothin' super fancy but it definitely won't be a point-and-shoot >.> Deciding between the Canon Digital Rebel XSi and the Canon EOS Rebel T1i. I've seen photos from both and I am impressed but I much search further. Actually, I haven't loked much into Nikon's stuff. I should probably get to it...

ON WIT DE PIC-CHAS! (I will only post a few at a time):

That's all I will post for now. My pics will be a better quality soon enough. As an added bonus, I'll let you see some stuff I did on photoshop when I was in (10th?) grade.

(From scratch):

This is the first thing I ever made in ps. It took a long time but it was fun.

This is the second thing. We had to experiment with the textures. Maybe a fishtank wasn't the smartest thing to create...

(Not from scratch):

I forgot the order after that. We had to pic a song and decorate a background. I made the fire/orangy stuff and the words but not the face. The song is Our Solemn Hour (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwWRUVVadQg) by Within Temptation. They're an awesome band and it's a great song. Excellent use of poetic elements.

I made a quicky 'cause I had finished a day early and I had some time. The song is Island (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS37Eals0uU) by The Starting Line. I think all their other songs are beyond crappy but this one's a winner fo' meh.

I made everything but the signs. We had to make a comic. Hey. Shut up.

I'll post more photographs later. Thanks checkin' out my stuff ^^

LOL at comic. It didn't really make sense though, what's with the seatbelt part?

Nikon D40x *recommends*

Very much better off with a Nikon or a Canon . Lenses are a lot easier to come by and often work on different cameras too.

Not bad, but if you're going to do photography I'd invest in a better camera and/or professional lens (only if you're serious about it though). It would also be good to try different angles and try idolizing certain aspects of a picture, eg. the flower on a plant or a particular tree. Anyway, nice job so far and look forward to seeing more.

It's hard to see the first part because the pic was resized. It says "Hey Pumba, let's take a r o a d t r i p!" Hence the seatbelt bit ^^

This is a bigger version of the sign. (http://images.javasigns.com/images/funny_sign_1.jpg) You can see the "THIS SIGN HAS SHARP EDGES WATCHHH OUTTT!!1!!11!!!!" part easily because it's so big. They're freaking out because it says, "Also, the bridge is out ahead" at the bottom in much smaller print. I think that's really funny. Sad part is that all those signs are real.

Yeah, I said I am going to get a Canon (so far; haven't looked into Nikon), but I don't have enough money yet; I need 200 more bucks. After I get it, I'll post much more stuff 'cause ya might actually be able to see the image (as opposed to straight-up noise). And, yeah, I can experiment more when I get a better camera. Thanks for the tip tho' =)

And, Gekkeiju, I will definitely look into that camera! Thanks for the suggestion xD

as far as photography goes, some good glass will be a better investment than a good body, if yer just starting out anything in the lower dslr ranges will be fine as you'll be the weak link rather than the equipment.

Atleast thats what Ive always heard, not a photographer or anything.

Right now, I just have my phone so I need to worry about getting a good camera before I can worry about the lens.
