Can treble clef have a different key signature then bass clef on the piano? Example Treble clef is C major but the bass clef is A major on music sheet. Is that possible and sorry for newbie question Im starting to read sheet music on my own.

Yes. But you won't see that in mostly all music.

I've never seen something like that before.. can you post an example?

How are you supposed to play something like that anyways?

That's just weird... I'd like to see an example as well. You cant do that in Finale. *goes to the piano and plays C major scale in right hand and A major scale in left hand* I guess if the composer wanted dissonance?

I don't have an example right now. But it has been done. Mostly for experimentation or with a goal in mind. Other than that, you won't see it in standard notations. Since is unnecessary and tricky to perform. There are also odd key signatures that are not in the standard notation, and odd time signatures also.

And yes, you are capable to do that in Finale:

With the "Staff tool" double click on any of your staffs for open the staff attribute. There you look for independent elements, and click what you want to have individual.

or composers just write in two different keys and dont bother putting different key signatures.

Im looking at you Stravinsky.
