COSPLAYING - when a person wears the costume of any fictional character.

so.....just wondering who has ever done it?
i haven't, but i'm thinkin of goin to an Anime Expo as Kenshin or something....

I've made a Li Shaoran costume before. We don't have any anime conventions in Hawaii though, so I didn't get a good chance to wear it yet.

Ahhh - do a Google search for "Ah My Cosplay" for examples ;) I'd never do it myself 'cause I'm too chicken but the costumes look wicked!

for this summer there's an anime convention, so i'm going to try to dress up as kikyo...yes i know, she's not exactly a likeable character, but i like her costume and her BEFORE she died...^^...altho, =___= where am i going to find a bow and a couple of arrows?lol...

I have, and it's A LOT of work, well, my little sister helped me a lot. I cosplayed as Miroku and my little sister was Sango. (Pretty neat, eh? ^^) Anyways, I don't know how long Kenshin is going to take you, I guess it depends on how much you work on it. It took the whole week to work on mine.

Well, it's fun to cosplay, good luck on yours! ^_^

(By the way, I was planning to cosplay as Kenshin soon too! ^^)

i&#39;ve never been in one...... but i&#39;ve seen one once in a gundam exhibition not too long ago&#33; XD they look sooooo not like the anime&#33; >D that&#39;s partly the reason why i dun like cosplays...... >.<

I&#39;ve seen a few really good ones, and a lot of bad ones... its cool when you see the really good ones though.

yah...i have to admit...i saw some REALLY good Final Fantasy cosplays before...they just blew my mind...but most...are....blah ^^;;

the best I&#39;ve seen is someone cosplaying as Robin from Witch Hunter Robin.. she really looked like the anime Robin...

It&#39;s sometimes hard to cosplay as anime characters cuz some stuff can&#39;t really be done in reality that they can do. However, cosplaying can be for fun. If you want to cosplay, there&#39;s nothing against it that you can&#39;t.



By the way, is there some rule about double posting? I&#39;m confused... o.O

Originally I decided being my RP character or Sparda from Devil May Cry. But then I had nothing for my RP dude and Sparda, human or demon, would be impossible. (DO you know how hard it is to find a violet suit like that?) Maybe I"ll just go as Keitaro. Very simple.

at our first cosplay/anime sleepover/party thing last year (my friends and i had, sorta, recently discovered anime and cosplay) i went as inuyasha, Tetsusaiga and all&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33; *Sankontesshou&#33;&#33;&#33;* (is there an "h"????...T_T feh) neway, then i swapped with my friend and was Himura Kenshin. at the first ever japanese pop culture convention in my state, i cosplayed as Hitokiri Battousai, pre-scar. i had a sword, but all weapons had to be peace-bonded TT_TT*sob*. i have a Sohma Kyo out fir all ready, just his normal wear. i wann cosplay as hotohori, taski, sesshoumaru, dark, aya from weiss kreuz, ayame from inuyasha,..............ummmmm....demon eyes kyo, makimachi misao....i&#39;m sure there are more, and more female characters too.....but..more later
