So I just recently got a new DSLR and been tinkering with it for a bit. It's been a while since I got back into photography so it's all coming back to me. :heh:

Tell me what you guys think?

...FOOOOOOOOD

...Your perspectives are really good, it's amazing how you transformed ordinary objects into amazing photographs... Also, who's that guy twirling that thing around?

Nope, they're all Japanese ramen with different broths.
The guy is a friend of mine smacking a friend of ours with a box full of juice.

Looks like somebody fell in love with the macro setting on his camera. =P
It is fun, though. Almost anything will look cool if you stick a nice camera in its face, hahah. I was taking photos of soda cans and mustard jars the other day. :heh:

Haha yeah, I'm still tinkering around with it. I'm still trying to get that right setting for various settings.

Heheh, yeah.
I'm not a photographer myself, but it seems fun enough. =D

Oh, and I've been wondering...did you draw your sig? If not, where is it from? Habenero-tan is adorable. XD

nah, didn't draw it. I just hastly made it in photoshop using various scenes from the short Habanero-tan manga.

Oh no please don't start taking micros of flowers with your nice camera and call your self a photographer. Happens way too many times when the youth gets hold of a nice camera.

It's one thing to take lifestyle photos for memory's sake; it's another to take photos for the sake of the art behind it. If you take pictures for the first purpose, I don't care how the flip you do it, but don't flaunt your camera in every crook-and-crannie of a garden because it's artsy. Take the time to learn how to properly use your camera; what makes a good photograph and a bad photograph; learn about color, composition, aperture, texture, lighting; and take the time to learn how to properly and tastefully do post-editing.

Otherwise I'll e-slap you.

^ Haha, don't worry. I'm not one of those noobs that take close up shots. The reason why I took that flower shot was to test out how much color, texture, and lighting I can get out of the new camera, lens, and the UV filters. So far, I don't know which is better which is mainly my fault with the settings. Haha! But I know I can take better shots. I've actually been in photography for years, but I just can't figure out with this new camera with my old one. =( I'll be going out later this weekend and take shots and finalize the settings for each different environments I encounter. =) Plus, I also appreciate criticism and recommended apertures, shutter speeds, and ISOs.

This is the camera I got and I got it at a real bargain. Reason why I jumped on it.

This was my old one, which is a regular SLR (Honestly though, I much prefer this then my new one right now, but I need to get used to it and then I'll probably love my new one over the old one soon)

Wow an FM10 is quite a nice camera. Take good care of that baby it can fetch a pretty penny in time, if it's in good condition.

Well, I don't have much to lecture other then have fun. I don't do digital photography and you used film before so I'm sure you know what you are doing as much as I would with that new-fangled digital thing.

Been messing around with the exposures and settings of my camera. I think I'm getting used to it now. Still no where near where I want it but it's getting there I think.

? ? ? ? ?
It means it's grayscale; there's no color. No saturation? Pencil drawings are "black and white."

The first picture is the best looking, in my opinion. ^^ And I agree with ~Iris~, they should definately be in a magazine. ^^
