A tribute to what is undoubtedly one of the best composers of all time.

The original drawing by Zuiyon (http://zuiyon.deviantart.com/):

Added colours and shades by me:

I am a pianist, not a colour artist, so be gentle :heh:

After this failed attempt which took me more hours than I can count I decided that drawing is not for me. So, this was my ultimate work!

It's not a bad coloring job. =)
I think you could have stylised it a bit more, though. Flatter, more subdued colors might have looked really cool, I think. The watch bothers me the most; I don't think that style of gradient coloring fits with the sketch underneath very well, plus, the sketch is already shaded for you. A more cel-shaded look would have suited it better, methinks. Anyway, it's still a good effort, and looks pretty good overall!

Holy crap, that's pretty good...!
It looks a bit too vibrant compared to the original sketch though... and the hair's border looks sorta like a pixel-outline in MSPaint... but other than that, it's definitely a really good recolouring...!

Whoa. Like the soft subtle style on the line version. Great work!

Maybe that is because I used Paint to make this

Hahaha, congratulations! That must have been very hard... how many hours...?

I'm going to assume you mean the new Paint, as opposed to the old one Mushy is talking about. Since you couldn't have made this in the old one...

I think you should work on the hair, skin(face shape esp.), and watch, as HC pointed out. In the original, she's looking straight forward, but in the colored version, she's looking slightly up. And...she has a dot on her cheek that wasn't on the original. Also, you changed the position of her lips slightly in the coloring. (These are just little things I noticed, the overall coloring job is amazing!) The clothes came out really nicely. :)

This confused me in both pics, but what happened to her arm/hand?

I just checked your work and I must say that the work is one of the best that I got a chance to look at. ^_^ Especially the first one only with the sketch work of the pencil without the color looks awesomely fascinating. ;)

Thanks for sharing such work of yours, :shifty: I would be glad to have some works of mine posted here and have some comments on it. I am amidst one so I'll post my collection of works as soon as I am done with it. :)

Yes, it was Paint.NET, but I thought it was more spectacular if I did not specify it :P

Yeah, stop showing off to the poor saps who don't know the new MS Paint is basically as good as photoshop for drawing. =P
And where have you been for the last six months? Hahah.
