Hey everyone, I just need some help, unfortunately, Google's results are way too vast and broad to help me.

I'm using Cakewalk Sonar 7. I was just wondering if anyone knows if there's any way I can get my notes to snap to the right place so that if i play it sloppily, it comes back nicely.

I don't THINK that it's the Quantize function, because that seemed to do... nothing.

So if anyone knows how I can maybe snap my notes to the proper spot on the staff while MIDI recording, please let me know. It's really a hassle to go through an entire piece and drag and drop all of my tiny mistakes.

Well, the quantize option should be doing that. Most of sequencers have the quantize option for put all notes in the "right" place.

Maybe this will help:

Perfect, thank you! I see where my mistake was. Question answered.

EDIT - One more question. Is there also a way I can turn off the velocity sensitivity? I'd like to set the velcities myself, after recording.

There is no need to turn them off if you are going to edit all of them after recording. :)
