I originally download the midi from animelab.com. Here's the link to the page: animelab.com (http://www.animelab.com/anime.manga/midi/Gundam_Wing) Can anyone help me identify this song?
I'd like to find see if there's any way to play even parts of it on the piano. It has such a nice melody, but hopefully it's not for trumpet or something else? I can never tell with midis. Can someone at least provide a name for this song? I'll attach it as well, so you can download it from here. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. I'm still trying google, but I'm not having much luck.

Sounds like Rhythm Emotion to me (not the "pure" version), Ichigos has a transcription of both versions anyhow. Hope that's right because I didn't listen to it through to the end; I really like all of the Gundam Wing songs. ^_^

Edit: Hey, animelab has an identical midi just above the "gwremton" one entitled "gundam- rhythm emotion.mid", how odd. But at least that confirms it.

More like an orchestrated version than anything, but you're right the two do sound similar. I do have the rhythm emotion sheet music, so I think I'll just play from that than. Thank you. ^__^ And since you said you enjoy GW music, do you know where I can find a transcription to the song "Burning"?

p.s. Even the whole "remon" looks similar to rhythm emotion, so I'm sure you're right. All this halloween candy must be turning my brain to mush..

Sorry, no idea where you can get that, I don't think anyone's tried doing it. I could only find a single midi of it googling, it doesn't really have a harmony unless you count the bass notes that sort of repeat the whole time (I mean, it's not really a harmony, it's more just the beat). If you still want it I could transcribe it, it probably wouldn't take that long. Just letting you know the left hand would be incredibly boring though heheh.

Thanks for the offer, but, after listening to the midi, I don't think it would be worth the effort. The full version of the song was much more substantial and prettier in my opinion. ^__^
And since I have the attention of someone knowledgeable (and probably full of piano sheets), I have another semi-off topic question. Do you have a copy of the sheet music for "Into the West" from the Lord of the Rings for piano? If you don't, then don't worry, I'll just search harder (it's wading through those annoying free score webpages that send you down bunny trails that I don't like to deal with.) And do you know if becoming a member of pianofiles.com is worth the trouble?

Thank you for the help,

Ooh, lotr songs! I remember spending a long time looking for them when the movies came out. Try this link, I don't remember but I think you have to register to open any attachments (I think it's worth it, there's oodles of sheets there!)
http://www.gamingforce.com/forums/showthre...s=&threadid=652 (http://www.gamingforce.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=652)

EDIT: oh wow, 9 pages for into the west. They all seem to be scans so the quality's not too great, but hey free sheets and then there's the saying "beggars shouldn't be picky" or something like that heheh.

As for pianofiles, I've never used it so I can't really rate it, but since it works on trading it seems very troublesome. I don't know, other people may have had good results using it, but I'd rather get whatever it is I'm looking for directly from somewhere else. Good luck with any sheet-hunting! :D

Oh...wow...THANK YOU! Those pages even have the words on them! Maybe I could convince my singing teacher to let us work on it. <_< >_> This is above and beyond what I had hoped to find! *hugs you*

It doesn't even matter that I had to become a member of the gaming force forums to get those scans, even though I've never owned a gaming console. Hahahaha. Don't tell on me, okay?!

If I did have a gaming console, it would only provide one more distraction in a long list of them. Too many games out there to consume a person's time. ^__^ That's why they call us consumers. In fact, I think I've quite enough consuming for this halloween. I need to go exorcise some of this sugar and consume more water. *happy consumer* I love my economy, and I do what I can for it. XD
