What stereotypes?

Because all stereotypes are born from truths. Did you see that salsalover guy? He was a guitarist, and he was a fucking moron, am I right? =D
And all pianists are hardworking geniuses, like me.

Try being first chair trumpet! Wanna talk about being a cocky asshole 100% of the time!

But seriously, the stereotypes only come because people place them there. It mostly has to do with famous figures whom play the particular instrument. For example, how the combination of Jazz music and crazyness that Dizzy, Louie, and Miles have projected resulted in a superiority and confidence aura. Thus, this is why trumpet players have the notion of being cocky.

Oh and hi there Salsalover! I see you created a new account and have improved your grammar a bit (with question marks and all).

well idk i read salsalover's comments and i think that if theres that much discrimination then it limits a persons ability to express themselves not only that but i play piano AND guitar and know cello so i think whoever is making these stereotypes needs to seriously consider that theyre the moron ive seen plenty of idiots play piano and its an equal amount of idiots amongst sax players

The smartest people are the pit percussionists. We don't have to march!

Neither do pianists! And besides, we all know drummers aren't even real musicians! The stereotypes say so! =P
I actually had to march with my band anyway, as a flag holder, lol. How lame. XD
The other pianist and the violinists got stuck with me though, hahah.
Also, drumming is pretty hard. Reminds me of piano, actually, with all the different limbs going at once...

You don't play piano. You don't play cello, either. Stop cheapening the hard work of your fellow musicians by lying about your skill level.
And use some punctuation, for God's sake.

But I really wanted some music for the contrabass flute, and no-one gave me any. YOU ALL SUCK I HATE YOU ALL.

Stereotypes exist for every instrument. Full stop. Stereotypes exist for a reason, often because they are true.

And FYI, salsalover. Im an oboist.

Guys, I don't mean to criticize, but... I don't think those types of posts help. I think they only give the troll exactly what they want: attention. There's really no need to antagonize/fan the flames. =/

On topic: I don't believe in stereotyping, but in judging each person individually. That's my personal belief anyway. Not sure if anyone else feels this way though.

well i DO play cello, guitar and piano and i don't think its fair to stereotype anyone based off their choice of instrument how does that even work anyway?

you don't know what people do and don't play and you don't have the right to call people a liar just because you are not used to anyone breaking the stereotype damn you people are so ignorant

Thanks for the PM, AvaSalsaPlayer.

for all we know you could be a bum roaming the site for fun you have no right to tell people what they do and don't do you don't know shit about anyone on here

p.s. i dont give a fuck about my punctuation if you dont like it go whine to yo mama

This is why guitar players have a bad stereotype attached to them. ;)
You're an idiot, and a liar. You've already admitted that you can't read sheet music or play anything besides guitar on your first account (salsalover) and went and got that account banned by obnoxiously bitching at everyone for not making tabs for you on demand. Then you created a second account five minutes later, and claimed that you COULD play these instruments all of a sudden? And then you created a THIRD account because I said you couldn't play instruments you yourself already admitted to being unable to play?

How stupid are you, anyway? Here's a tip to make your life easier for you: instead of lying about what instruments you play like a jackass, go learn to actually play them. Then you won't need to beg people for tabs, because most of the sheet music you find will be for an instrument you can actually play! Pretty cool, right?

Please try not to get your Avacado account banned, SalsaCadoGuitarPlayer. You're hilarious. XD
