I hate the new direction of this series. Up until Underground, the NFS series was all about one thing: driving incredibly fast, exotic cars in exotic locations. In NFSII, for example, you could race a Lotus GT along a Mediterranean coastline, or a McLaren F1 at 233 mphin the Austrailian outback. Even if the graphics and physics weren't perfect, the overwhelming feeling of speed was there. That was was certaintly the core competency.

After Porsche Unleashed and the Hot Persuit line, they ran out of ideas and sold out to the moronic idea of taking cheap cars and putting crappy parts in them to get 1 more HP. Now, instead of exotic cars in exotic locations, I drive family cars in cities. Seriously, where's the fun in that? If I wanted to drive a HONDA CIVIC through LA at a max speed of 110 mph, I'd go down to the store and BUY one! There's no speed, no fun. The biggest thrill in that game is buying stickers to put on your car.

NFS: Underground is a complete sellout. If it didn't carry the NFS name, I wouldn't care; it would just be another clone of this stupid idea.

gotta agree on one thing that the line of nfs has been cut through cause of underground.... but the thing i disagree about tis the bull**** you said above... dude when you start the game and you take the honda civic it would go just as fast as the one you would buy in the store, sorry but where's is the sense in that?? you obviously haven't played the game that much... cuase all the cars you get are first of all not cheap, are just as standard you would normally buy them and if you upgrade them with "your" so called cheap parts, wich are in this case real existing professional tuning kits and brands they go even faster then the most expensive lamborghini/porche even to be found on this planet.... maybe not with all the cars... but if you would put an uber-maxed out skyline, RX-7 or MX-5 next to that mclaren (from the NFS series, the so called fastest car of the series back then) I sure would know where id place my money

Well, I'm sorry for not being one of you freaky deaky Americans Gand, over here having a car isn't something for 16-year old brats because it's way too expensive for that. I love the streetracing theme, I love the tuning and modding, and if you don't like that, there are enough other racing games that have expensive cars in them.
