yes i have been practicing lately L'absente by yann tiersen, and in the part of the triplets which i have been practicing quite a lot, before the 4 measure my whole arm and wrist get extremely tired, at the point it gets painful,, i can do it once or twice the whole thing, but trying to practice more than that it starts to get tired.. I'm a little worried i might have tendinitis or something... the way i sit it's fine, playing other songs don't get me tired so quickly, only when doing the triplets..

:cry::cry:

I think you're practicing it wrong. Iunno, I've never really had my hands get tired before (except during Hanon and Czerny, the former of which I'd not recommend). If it gets painful, then stop. Don't play it twice in a row. Why would you need to play it twice in a row?

You only play songs once through, right? Play that once, relax, take a break, play another song, whatever suits you, and then play it again.

The second piece of advice is also just to relax your hands. Iunno cause I have no clip of how you're playing but you might just be like smashing the piano and stuff. Let go and relax, it solves the problems 43% of the time.

I haven't played L'absente, nor have I even heard of it, so I don't know which part you're referring to; sorry D:

Just relax and play as slowly as you need to. Focus on accuracy instead of speed, then forget about it and move on.

It'll become easier the next day.

The reason might be your positioning. Check wheather your sitting in the right position, the curve from the wrist to the fingers are important too. If the curve isnt there, that's probably the main problem. ;D

Yum.
Take a look at this: http://www.jazclass.aust.com/piano/default.htm

Although, what your describing sounds quite Carpal Tunnel Syndrome-y. Especially if its at the wrist; see a doctor to rule it out, 'k?

I went to see the doctor, seems like it's a severe muscular problem, and it will take sometime to heal, but i should be fine...
