Hey! I'm new here, but this is my first composition.

Welcome to Ichigo's!

The first impression I had, before I listened to your piece, was that there were many block chords - try to break away from that habit. I remember my first composition I posted here was like yours - start experimenting with new ways to harmonize. There's more to music than chords. ^_^ Other than that, the only thing apart from the repeating chord pattern is that I think you should drop the C at the last chord an octave (the lowest one). Start experimenting! (P.S. Not a lot of us here use Finale products that are made after 2010 - if you could, post .midi files. ;) I've posted a .pdf and .mp3 of your piece.)

yes! a new member. welcome, i be your fellow ichigosmate. pretty nice composition. it seems like you have a nice balance. i thought maybe it was going to be very repetitive but you seem to have ended at the right time.

If you're going to do block chords, you should commit to them and have more of them going on in the right hand. That would get kind of boring to play. Actually, I think it would be cool to do the whole melody all counter-pointed up. Play with it. You have some cool ideas.

Also, I don't know if the pdf is true to the original, but there are such things a key signatures. This is obviously in c minor, and you'd save yourself a lot of trouble if you just set that in the key signature.
