OK, so I like tattoos and I have been wanting to get a new one but I didn't have a design. I was wondering if any of the artists here could do a design for a tattoo for me :) Nothing extreme, just simple. There are two different things I have in mind.

The first is on my calf. I was thinking of a dinosaur with a word balloon saying "RAWR!" but the whole thing in connect the dots. I think it would be fun.

Also another I wanted was one on my left forearm. Something like a Strat with notes twisted around or I was thinking of a stickman strumming a guitar with the guitar lead connected to an amp and you see the amp distorted in shape and the sound waves passing by the stickman.

Well, anywho... Dunno if this is the right place but I think it would be fun. I will post a picture of the tatt once it's done. Let me know what you think.

Hmm, while I don't agree with the idea of tattoos, I won't criticize your tastes.... In any case, if you insist on getting a tattoo, perhaps you should consider geting a professional to design you something? It is kind of permanent after all, and even though the artists around here are quite talented, I think you might want to try someone with even moar talent. =)

....And this is why I'd never consider getting a tattoo. No matter what you stamp onto yourself, there's a decent chance that a good 70% of the people out there will think you're an idiot for your tastes. And the way my personality changes every few years or so, I'd probably fall into that 70% in under a decade, cursing myself for the rest of my life for burning something so inane into my skin.

Anyway, do what you want, OP. If the tattoo makes you happy, and you think you'll be able to live with it forever, then screw everyone else, hahah. XD
I don't think anyone here is going to draw you a tattoo, though. Not anyone decent at drawing, anyway. = (

Exactly! I get my tattoos because I like them. I do have tattoos that I look at and think "What was I thinking?" Then I remember the story behind them and what it means to me. So yup :D

I still don't agree with the concept of tattoos, but I can understand a little better now, the perspective of people who want them.

speaking of tattoos... i want one, too. it's just that things i come to believe changes with time.... so in a way i realized tattoo is not about setting a permanent mark on one's skin for the belief one will possess forever til death... but rather a belief that one have at certain phase. am i close or what? is that one way to interpret the concept of tattoo?

I think removable tattoos are the best. :P

Got tired of it? take it off! Want it again? Put it on!

I think so. I really don't think about it that way. Well... I really don't think about it at all. I can tell you this... once you get your first tattoo you will be ADDICTED!

I got my one fish two fish it was while I was in the Canary Islands. I remembered how much my daughter loves that book and Dr. Suess in general. Now whenever I am away from her I am always reminded of the fun stuff we do together. Also she thinks it's hilarious :D

My EST. 1983 was on a whim. I wanted to see if the tattoo place would do a tattoo on the bottom of the foot. They didn't want to but I talked them into trying. That was the only thing I could think of at the time. I believe I was in Lithuania for that one.

I also have a large one on my back. It starts right below my neck and covers about 50% of my back. It is a heart with wings expanded. Also there is a scroll of sorts wrapped around the heart. On the scroll reads my daughters name and her birthday. I was in Texas and far away from my daughter at the time. I LOVE this tattoo but hate it also. The reason I hate it is because I CAN'T SEE IT! Haha!

I have a couple other smaller ones here and there. Smiley faces, random star, also a dot behind the ear.

So yeah. There is a story behind all my tattoos. They might seem weird or dumb to most people but they aren't for them. They are for me. :D Hence why I don't think it is a big deal to have a non-professional draw up a tattoo. If I like it I am going to get it and I really don't care if it looks like poo to someone else. It is there for myself to look at.

The guitar tattoo I was looking at is something I think would be cool. It makes me think that I could actually play guitar even though I feel that I don't have an artistic bone in my body. The dinosaur one is the same way. It is supposed to look kinda amateurish and ridiculous. It was something I saw and thought "I want something like that." Meh, hope this provides some insight.

I am saving space on my shoulder/chest for a tribal. I am saving money to get it done. I want it to go from right above my elbow, around my arm, over my shoulder, covering the left part of my chest and the left part of my upper-back. I need it to flow into my other tatto of the heart. Should be fun to do and I'll be in the tattoo parlour for a LONG time.

I see a lot of talk and not a single picture :(

[Edit] didn't think this was worth another post, i meant his current tattoos not the designs for new ones.

Well, I think that's because no one has yet come forward and offered to fulfill either of his design requests. Until then, we'll just have to live with this wall of text. =/

Errr? Oh my current ones? Hmmm... Maybe i'll put some pictures up. I'm not a cheap date though. You have to wine and dine me before I show some skin. Haha!

well.... for me, at least, it's a difficult thing to imagine for someone to put a permanent mark on one's skin. if anything i want it to look good you know. i dont' want to just draw something that's half-assed. and the idea gonzerelli has is not something i think about everyday, no it is something that i have thought of before. sure it's the meaning behind it that counts, but why not look good at the same time. kill 2 birds with just one stone, you know.
