It would be nice if someone can tell me how to transfer the pictures from paper to online. Well, here is a couple I'm currently working on and some are already finished. Some aren't anime-ish, so... i enjoy the thing i draw at the very last second. it's kinda interesting to know what comes out when you don't really think too much... and ultimately realize what you like to draw. the girl looks quite nice. the body is a little smaller than the face, but that could be your style. i also think the clothes your characters wear are pretty interesting.

I was really tired, so I decided to draw out this guy being, well... looking kind of tired? I have no idea what his expression is, but more like exhausted lookin'.

These two art are done in total of 10 minutes. I wasn't really into it, so I just drew and drew with a lazy hand.

For me, you just need to go to the option "Go Advanced" instead of "Post Quick Reply". Then, you should see bunches of options there. You see that little wierd pin or something that you put in when you have many papers that needed to be organized? Yep, click on that and there's a browse button and the upload buttion. From there, you can browse the picture on your computer for pictures you want to put up. I advice that you put your imported pictures that you drew and that you've taken it on the camera on your desktop. It might seem weird and messy, but trust me, you'll be finding it easier. Anyway, you would click "Browse" and they'll show you your desktop or whatever documents. Click on the "Desktop" and search through them. You should see thost pictures you drew there. Double click on it, and it'll be on the blank space of the Browse button. Click "Upload" and give it a few seconds. Ta-dah! Your first picture is on! But don't forget, you HAVE TO DO IT ONE AT A TIME. And, when you finish those uploading things, you can exit out of that and return to your message/post *It shouldn't be deleted or removed* You see that wierd pin again? Right next to it, looks like an arrow pointing downward or if not, a small triangle upsidedown. Click on that and you'll see your pictures that was uploaded to it. Click on it and it'll be attached to the message. And just keep on adding more... and more... until you finish uploading all of the pictures you want. This is WHY I NEED TO ADD BUBBLES. I haven't, so it looks like an unknown scene. The story was suppose to be about a girl holding the butcher knife injuring the other girl, which should be her best buddy. Then, she notices that she didn't kill her best friend, so she called out that dog-creature thingy-a-ma-chig to hunt after her best friend since she fled. Not sure about that, but I'm going to try to add a flashback scene on what the heck is going on. Sorry about that... I'm going to edit it big time sooner or later when I have time. :heh:

To mangaluva: I tried doing that, but that wasn't my style. Lowering the eyes make me feel really uncomfortable with the looks. It might be better, but for me, it's not coming as naturally as I thought. Sorry about it... BUT I'm still going to keep using that as reference so when I make a different character with a different look or something, I can use that. THanks! :3

:P Read Bakuman. It's a manga about...manga. Although it's fictional and has a story, it still explains the basics, like what a name is, which will probably help you organize the story a bit, even if you're not going to publish any of it.

Let's see... While I'm drawing my stuff, I'll say a bit on how I started drawing manga/anime. When I was young (around...6 years old), I started taking interest into drawing simple, yet amazing characters like Garfield and Tom and Jerry, etc. I merely did not copy them by going over them, but I trained my eyes to look at the object/picture and started drawing on my own sheet of paper. Later on in the years, when I moved down to Florida, I started watching Naruto and all that other Toonami/Toonami Jetstream anime. When I found out they were anime, I started drawing them. Obviously, my first drawn anime character was Sakura Haruno, but later on, I wanted to draw with my own creation of anime character, so I started learning how to draw by watching lessons online and reading them. They helped a bit, and every year, my drawings have improved. As I started watching and growing into more to anime/manga, I also took more time to copy some drawings from the computer to paper, so... There we have it. That's how I started my drawing hobby or something like that. ^^;;

EDIT: Sorry about the huge delay, but something just happened. My camera's fine with taking the picture I have for the drawings I have, but my computer won't respond to it. So it might take a while for me to get the pictures up. :heh: But when they're up and I solved the problem, I should be able to post more than 2-3 pictures by then. For now, just hang on. I would say improving on the shape of those heads. It seems.... a little off.
Also the hair is a little spikey and gives a unnatural look to the face. I would still say make the eyes a bit lower. ^-^

im guessing the first one is Miku. Her arms are too long compare to her body. you should try to draw some outlines... like a very soft circle and fill in with eyes and mouth and stuff... cause it seems like you just go straight into drawing the eyes and mouth. i did that too, but when you draw some circles and stuff, it kinda helps. but it's up to you. i didn't do it for the longest time and i didn't understand why i would draw something circles before drawing the actual face, but one day it will just click.

She looks pretty proportionate except her shoulders are a bit broad, neck a bit too short, and her head a bit big. Well...that is, if you meant for her to be an elementary schooler...then you also need to flatten the chest a bit, haha. If you meant for her to be older, she definitely needs those proportions fixed plus a growth spurt X].

Oh, and I just noticed, you drew her chin so it doesn't lead into her ear. It should lead into her ear, but when you do, you'll probably want to erase the turning point so her face doesn't look as sharp/hard. If you're not sure what I'm talking about(since I'm sugar-high at the moment and have no clue what I'm typing), I'll try to explain it differently at another time, or I'll draw it out to show you what I mean.

Huh... Looks like I have to make the legs longer... TT;; I always think making the legs longer look so wrong, but maybe I'm wrong.... Maybe I'm wrong...

Whenever I draw, to make sure the body is proportionate(the upper and lower body anyways), I see that the lower body is the same length as the upper body. For some anime/manga styled drawings though, I think the legs are either a) usually longer, mostly in shoujo manga, or b) it appears longer because the characters are very skinny.

I checked your first drawing with that, and the upper body and lower body are the same. If you want to make her taller, you can't just make the legs longer, you have to change the upper and lower body proportionately. ^_^

That's not really a set rule though. There are significant variations in proportions between individuals. Some people will have relatively long legs, and some people will have relatively short legs. And as you said, a lot of anime characters have legs slightly longer than average. You can actually make anime legs pretty damned long before they start to look bad! Generally, the shorter your character's legs, the dumber, slower, and stronger they'll look. The longer they are, the weaker, faster, more agile, and more clever they'll look. Ninja have long legs, brawlers have short legs! When you're trying to make a pretty girl, give her long legs!

The character in question would actually look better with longer legs. The real reason she looks bad (or the main one, anyway), is that her head is freakishly large. It's almost as wide as her shoulders, and she's only about four heads tall, whereas the "ideal" (read: greek god-ish) human is *eight* heads tall. Because of this, she looks like a stunted dwarf. You could just erase her head and make it smaller, and it'd make the whole picture look much better.

About her ears, human ears usually begin at eye level, and end at the bottom of the nose. Her ears are placed way too high up.

But as you said, Animefan's character here has a 1:1 leg torso ratio going on, and it still looks wrong. Head height is way more important than the ratio of the length of the legs in relationship to the body. Like I said, head height makes the character look either shorter or taller; leg-torso height makes them look stronger/faster.

Oh no, those were guide lines. They help me locate where the heck the eyes are and such... But like I said earlier, I don't plan on finishing it since it was just to kill some time during that incident. :mellow:

I am happy that you used the acute accent in "Música". A lot people here always forget it or they even do not know that "Música" has an acute accent, lol.

Something horrible here is that the old Conservatory of Music where I studied, "Música" did not have the acute accent in their main building. It was very frustrating seeing the letter "u" without the acute accent. I included that mistake in my 80 photography of errors that I had to present in another college. >:3

What kind of suck was that I don't really know what to draw for my Spanish project, but meh.... I thought about the Female MC and I drew her... until it came out a little too good than I expected. I was so depressed at putting a slash right across her face. ;_;

Zero looks pretty good. I would suggest that you darken the thing that are closest to you. I mean like the pointy things such as the knuckles of his hand that carries the sword, the point of the sword, his left foot should be darker than the rest of the pic. Try it out. It'll surprise you. Basically, closer the object, darker it should be.

Going to the details... This is from Fatal Frame II. The chibis are by me. I just took reference to their clothing and hair style, that's all. Sorry for the poor quality since I only took one photo of it and it wasn't great. :/ Anyhow, this is Sae and Yae, along with Mio and Mayu. (They're twins. You can tell they look almost the same. Same with Sae and Yae.) Forgot to mention the Crimnson Butterfly. :/

Rei from Fatal Frame III. You can already see that I didn't even bother to clean up the page, the face does look funny (duh), didn't bother to add details to her shirt, and this is the cleanest picture I could get before my camera died. -.-''

An interesting style you got it going. I first noticed her expression... and I have no idea what's she's thinking... which is good... because I wouldn't understand what she's going through... The next thing I noticed is her nose. It's a bit high no...? It's as if her tip of her nose is right below the eye.... but surprisingly it works with the style. Narrowing down her face might look better though.

^I'll take that into consideration and yes, the nose is suppose to be like that. Oh, and I took the picture at a funky angle since my camera died that time, so she does look a bit... strange in that picture. :P

Her expression is more like it's mixed with feelings... er... how can I explain it... She lost her lover to a car accident caused by her being on the wheel and felt super depressed about it. Then, she became super depressed, blah blah blah and went to take a picture of a haunted house. Saw the film being develop and it showed her lover. She then gets thrown into a nightmare whenever she sleeps and has this curse on her. In her dream, she has the Camera Obscura (The camera she's holding onto in the picture) to get rid of ghosts and evil spirits in her nightmare-that-seems-to-be-like-reality. (If you die in a dream, you die in real life. Reminds me of the video game, Catherine. O_O)

This is originally suppose to be Ryougi Shiki in the fourth movie when she had long hair, but I decided to toss in a couple of stuff and remove a couple of stuff. ^^

I like both of the drawings. First I want to mention the most bottom character in the first post. I'm sure the character is facing right. I just hope to see more of the angle. Perhaps tilting his head away from us might look better. The last character looks awesome, and here's why. The expression. Anticipation comes to my mind. Hair. Definitely looks like it's in front of the face. Eyes. Appear as if they are looking pass me. Eyebrows. For sure they look like they are muscles beneath them.

Whoa. Hahaha. I don't know why, or maybe I do, but I had a genuine smile as I checked out your newest drawing. I think it's because of the detail you've put into the drawing. What's that covering half of her face? A shield? Her hair?

^Oh, that's a shield of some sort... Part of her helmet. ^^ I swear to god I won't draw this good in quite a while... Maybe because I had such dedication toward this art that I HAD to make it as close as possible to the original picture. ^^;

Well, to tell you the truth... not everyone can "copy". First, it takes time and effort to do it and it takes more to make it look remotely close to the original picture like you said. Second, now you are that much closer to understanding what makes that drawing look nice. Now you will, hopefully, find more ways to be creative with your skill. I don't know. I just hope that I am helpful in some way. :heh:

Meh. It could've been better, but I just came back from the hospital late at night to visit my grandma. I wanted to let my stress go all out on a piece of paper, so I drew Felli in a ticked off mood... I think. Anyhow, I was going to fall asleep while drawing this, but I forced myself to finish it. Next time... I should consume more caffiene-like products and drink sodas WITH caffiene in them. I was so sleep-deprived that time and complained so much that I don't have any caffiene in my body to wake myself up. XD

Oooooo.... very nice. I could see that you just went off on this one. It seems like you didn't stop to think and yet the lines seem very graceful. I like how her face is very smooth while from her neck down is pretty choppy.

^From her neck down, it's suppose to be some sort of uniform Felli wears in Chrome Shelled Regios. But like you said was true; I wasn't stopping to think at all when drawing this picture.

I dont' know what's more impressive. Her hand or her face. I think it's her face. lol Well... she looks rather peaceful, and the detail you put in to her eyes are very noteworthy. I still think it can be cleaner though.

yeah.... one of the hardest thing about drawing is knowing when to say "it's finished", 'cause you might not think it's a finished product so you start adding and whatnot... but that just results in more adding and next thing you know... you just ruined your drawing... or at least turned it into something else. ^^

^LOL. That happened to me so many times. I one time concentrated and focused so much on drawing Tsukasa from Lucky Star that she ended up looking like someone completely different. >.>

I see that you're upset about Deuce's hair. Part of it is because you were so eager draw the top of her head when the angle of her face clearly tells me that her head won't be visible, or at least the top of her head won't be. I never played a game, and I didn't even know it was a final fantasy game.... O.o But I did get to check out the characters and it seems like they are very cool.

Anyway... if anything... just try to erase some part so her hair (sidebang? not the bang but the hair hanging down by her cheeks) looks like it's starting from the side and not from the top of her head.... so I would suggest you start by erasing some part on the top of her head. yeah?:D

Oh god! what's with the eye on the first guy?? Did not need to see that. What I really enjoyed was the girl with a grenade. She's very cute. And the fact that she has a grenade just throws me off. but i think that makes her even cuter. The second guy surely gives a sense of longing. I still like the girl. i think it's because you made her face very clear and the rest somewhat blurry. Unlike the first guy. The lines on him has no dynamic. It's looks way stationary it's almost boring. But I want to see some more.
