I got an e-mail message stating the following:

[so-and-so] has reported this visitor message: [link]
This is part of this user's profile: [name & link]
This is the reason that the user gave: Advert
A discussion thread has been created at [link]

This message has been sent to all moderators of this area, or all administrators if there are no moderators. Please respond to this post as applicable.

... and I'm obviously not a moderator. :heh:

It's a spambot. I'm going through and taking care of it as I type.

For some reason, I seem to have "moderator" privileges on people's profiles - I can edit other people's conversations on profiles. I can also see someone's IP address (I'm not sure if that was there before)...

That's... both highly confusing, and distressing. I'll check into it later tonight. The only thing I'm aware of that you should be allowed to edit is whatever you have done on the forum (such as your postings), and two invisible forums which I've yet to make public.

Hi, M - after the recent forum change, I still have moderator capabilities on people's profiles.

I wonder why I got the message, too, but not the random moderator privileges. I find I'm somewhat jealous. :heh:
