Hi all. I've been wanted to write some 8bit arrangements of songs for a while now and so I learned that you can write chiptunes in trackers. So I found that Milky Tracker (http://modarchive.org/forums/index.php?board=30.0) is free. I was like 'sweet!' So I opened it up and went through a short tutorial (http://www.seele07.de/milkytutorial/index.html) posted on their forums. However after a bit I started to see how damn high the learning curve for trackers is. The tutorial is also pretty bad, IMO. There are some more 'tutorials' on youtube but they are terrible. I can't even find a glossary or index that tells me the 'code' used besides each note to produce arpeggios, vibrato, etc. I've been slowly learning it through trial and error but it's getting frustrating. Anybody know how to use one of these things? (I tried asking on milky tracker forums but for some reason I can't even register...)
