Hi!

The problem is, if I click on the forward button while playing a song, it doesn't goes forwards. If I click it, it goes back to measure 1.

And I want to be able to adjust the measure number, but the block stays grey.

Oh, I've had that problem. For the "Forward Button" problem, try playing the song to a certain measure, then stop & press the home button (the icon on the extreme left) to return it to the start. After that, you should be able to press the forward button normally again.

If that doesn't work, do the same steps, but press the end button instead. (the icon on the extreme right). If not, restart your finale and try again.

For the "adjust measure" problem, I'm not too sure lol. I've never been able to adjust the measure while a song is playing, so I don't think it's meant to be controlled that way. Hope this helps!

To adjust the measure, click on "Playback Settings" (it's to the right of the tempo marking with the number). The icon is a horn-ish symbol. Then under "Playback Region," make sure that "Always Start At:" is set to "Current Counter Setting."

Uh another problem has appeared! How can I type symbols like a star : ☆ (from Dekiru Kanatte ☆☆☆ (Hoshimittsu)) without getting questions marks?

It needs to be in the font available in finale. When typing in Text or Lyrics make sure the font that can input a star is available from the font list when using the text insert. If you're doing it in lyrics tool it is far more difficult to do unfortunately. Where are you trying to put your stars? Hopefully in the title?! lol
