Song: Time Travel/End Credits
Game: Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (aka Layton and the Lost Future)
Composer: Ann Sally

I'm looking for someone who can transcribe the end credits song "Time Travel" from Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (Composed by Ann Sally). I would like to record myself playing this song on the piano for my YouTube site at youtube.com/joepianist (http://www.youtube.com/joepianist). I can send an MP3 of a piano solo recording of this song to whomever asks me through PM, but here is a link to the song on YouTube HERE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFiP1yUCoEU). Any efforts made in fulfilling this request is very much appreciated, and I promise to give the transcriber credit when I record myself playing their transcription for YouTube! ^_^

UPDATE: I didn't feel like waiting, so I went ahead and tried transcribing the song onto piano sheet myself. I'm two-thirds through the entire song, and I plan to share the sheet with anyone who asks me through PM. It's my first attempt, but I've taken a couple of music theory classes, so it's helped a lot. Let me know if you're interested in the sheets!

Currently, it looks like that I'll be ready to upload my piano performance of this piece onto YouTube around Feburary, which means I'll also be releasing my transcribed sheet music to the public in February as well. But for those who can't wait and want a head start on learning the music, here's the link to the 1-Page "Preview Version" at http://www.2shared.com/file/vpbJiV3X/Time_Travel_preview.html
(http://www.2shared.com/file/vpbJiV3X/Time_Travel_preview.html)
When you get to the page, be sure to look all the way down to where it says "Save File to Your PC: click here." There's usually some ads on these file hosting sites that try to trick people into clicking them.

Also, you'll need Finale to open the program. You can download Finale Reader for free at https://www.finalemusic.com/store/download.aspx?id=421

If you interested in having a copy of the entire sheet music, be sure to PM me so I can start making a list of members to notify about its release in February. In the mean time, please enjoy this special preview version!

Hey there, I'm interested in the sheets and perhaps you could send me a pm when you've uploaded your performance on youtube? I've been looking for this song everywhere and I'm bad at writing sheets.

Hi everyone--I've been informed that the link for the .pdf file version of the 1-page preview no longer works, so I've uploaded a new link here http://www.2shared.com/document/vPuJSG3k/Time_Travel_preview.html

Also, I apologize that it's taking me a while for me to record/upload my piano performance of this song onto YouTube AND to release the entire sheet music. I've recently resumed my classes in college, and I've left all of my recording equipment and my nice Steinway/Boston upright piano back home :heh: Hopefully, I'll be able visit home sometime next month and get everything uploaded!!

Update 2/3/11--As of today, I was able to make arrangements to visit home next weekend, so both the entire sheet music and my YouTube piano performance of the song should be uploaded for the public at that time. Thanks for your patience!

Saw your request in another thread and transcribed this before noticing that you had already done it. Oh well, here's my version:
P.S. I'm not a piano player, so you'll have to let me know if I have notated anything for the wrong hand.:heh:

Joebass, thanks for going through the trouble of transcribing the song for me; I truly appreciate your effort. It looks like you did a pretty good job, and it actually looks similar to my version. I went ahead and tried transcribing the song the day after I requested a transcription because I didn't feel like waiting, haha :heh:. I couldn't figure out how to delete my request post, so I left it alone. I guess I might as well release my version of the song now--but I'll post an update when my piano performance of my version of the song is uploaded to YouTube next week!

Hey everyone!

As you can see from the two previous posts, Joebass released a transcription of the song that you're free to look at. Even though I'm doing this a week earlier than I planned, I've also decided to release my version of the piano sheet music for "Time Travel" that you can look at. It's available in the .pdf format, or .mus (Finale) format (Player's Tip: you can use Finale to have the computer play the entire song for you or parts that you're having trouble with). Whether you choose to use Joebass' version or mine, use whichever version works for you!

Be sure to check this thread NEXT Monday (2/14); I'll have an update posted when my piano performance of the song is uploaded to YouTube! Until then, HAPPY PLAYING!

Hi everyone!

Valentine's Day is almost here, and for the past month, I've been working on 2 new piano songs to upload on YouTube for the occasion!

*The first one is called "Time Travel"--it's the ending theme to the Nintendo DS game "Professor Layton and the Unwound Future." It's one of my most ambitious piano performances that I've ever prepared for, and it's also the one that I'm most proud of (so far). A month ago, no sheet music existed for this song when I searched for it, so I had to write out the notes by ear. Here's the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2wFRQs276k

*The second one is an "oldie but a goodie" love song from the 1970's called "Don't Cry Out Loud." Here's the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJmgPnU1dmE

If you like either video, please send me a reply, leave YouTube comments on my videos, and/or share the links with your friends!!!!

Thanks for listening, and have a great Valentine's Day weekend!

I'm glad you like it! If you're interested, I also transcribed a couple of popular songs from the new Pokemon Black/White game for the Nintendo DS and recorded myself playing them. You can find them on my YouTube page at youtube.com/joepianist. I'm planning to do more "Piano Performance+Sheet Music Download Link" videos on my YouTube page in the near future, so be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel!!
