Have you ever composed/produced a pop song or something similar?

If so, post it here! :P

Also, since many pop songs are produced starting with the beat then the melody, do you think it's possible to create one starting from the melody - aka composing it?

Each person has their own thread here to post their works. Whenever someone post something will be in their thread. I have not see anyone posting a "pop" song around here yet. :heh:

About the question, everybody have their own method to compose (including improvisations and accidents. Sometimes something will come before others. Example song/piece's title/concept, melody, background, chords, mood, etc.

Well personally when I am composing classical-like pieces I play the song in it's entirety first, while when I'm making a pop song I actually write it down every few notes... ^^;

And I think at least 1 person made a pop song here before, but if not I hope I can motivate others to try it~

I know I've written several Chinese pop/Jpop on this forum before. I'm not sure if they are still there, they may have been on my old thread and is deleted by now along with that thread. I know that there have been musicals and stuff composed on this thread before too so I'm pretty sure there has been attempts at every genre of music on this forum

I think some members slipped from my mind... :heh: I remember now Marlon's rock song and a more "new age" style song by some snow.
