sounds very clean. it's got that "tribute" theme. Nice use of the bass. Only thing I really have to say is that... it's kinda repetitive... other than that... nice job.

Ander might just mean that you wrote the bass line (cello) well.

I liked the competing rhythms. You have a good balance between the players, which is something I struggle with in writing for quartets.

It's just not striking me as very memorable. Can you give us some background on the piece? Is there a story behind it? The title makes me think so.

The melodies are completely original as with style although the style iS very similar to my inspiration Richard Meyer
The begining was a result of listening to legend music too much
The violin duet after was a result of experimenting on my violin
I wanted a fast part after that and got stuck and in a moment of desperation, I started writing random notes into finale and that's how I got the mainphrase of the piece :)
The rest just kind of flowed out

Ehh when I type it's all my thoughts rolled into a runon sentence

I don't know. But you have the tension dying with each part. First part sounds like a "connector" to me then a theme comes sounding less tense, then relaxed ending.

You've got to lose that drone. It clashes and gives the thing a feel I'm pretty sure you don't want.

Do you mean the dotted quarter note droning or the eight notes or both
Reguardles, i dont think i how to do that
True the droning makes the melody sound of it doesnt sound right with out it
You wouldnt mind editing for me would you?

I mean that base note that just hangs at the bottom of the piece and never moves. I actually do not download .MUS files from this site anymore. For some reason they make my computer crash, but if you uploaded it as a MIDI I'd be willing to cut it out.
