My school teacher has decided to let us pick music for the last concert we're doing this year, so I'd like to know if there's any music from well known anime or video games that you can play for string orchestra.

It's only been an hour between your posts. Give at least a few days for a response.

Thanks..but that only gave me 3 songs. If possible, I'd like to know if there's more songs that have been transcribed into String Orchestra music? I know for a fact that all of the music posted on here isn't on the website..

The way you expressed your thought sounded like you are just asking for suggestions of anime/video games pieces for string orchestra. There was nothing mentioned in your post of requesting sheet music.

That is the reason. :P

There's some string orchestra arrangements here (http://www.squaresound.com/arrangements/category.php?id=97). It's Legend of Zelda stuff. Try the medley. If you get weird symbols upon opening the pdf, it probably means you're missing the right fonts. It's either Finale fonts or Sibelius fonts.

Note that you'll need Finale Reader (http://www.finalemusic.com/reader/) to see many of those files.

Another idea would be to add a bass part to the various string quartet arrangements on this site. If you wanted, I'd love to adapt my arrangement of this song (http://ichigos.com/res/getfile.php?id=1900&type=pdf) (Youtube link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3HygjLKnB4)) from the Haruhi movie, as long as you sent me a recording. ;) I could also finish my arrangement of this other song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbQxzGrvqTc) from the Haruhi movie, but it'd take a while.

And if you want something REALLY awesome, look through this thread (http://forums.ichigos.com/showthread.php?10223-Zelda-for-String-Quartet) for a near-complete transcription of the Zelda String Quartet Medley (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs3yHJO_nT0). The guy even added a bass line for you for most of the pieces.

Well it's nearly a month. Thanks for all the responses, are there any more suggestions?

Just in case you didn't check, Square Sound has lots of stuff other than Zelda. I seem to remember some string orchestra stuff in there.

It's hard to give more suggestions if you don't give much feedback. Any series/game in particular? What difficulty level would be appropriate? Have any of the pieces listed so far caught your attention?
