Hey guys. It's been a while since I posted here, so I thought I'd come back with a little something I finished tonight. It's just supposed to be a background track for a "halloweentown" sort of thing. I saw a really cool picture, and it inspired me to write music for it. This isn't the most innovative song in the world. It's not meant to be super duper original, it's just meant to do its job. I'm still trying to (slowly but surely) stop being so repetitive with my melodies. At least in this one I used more than just 2 bars of melody. But it's still repetitive. Sorry about that, hopefully it doesn't get annoying to your ears!
Well here you guys go, hope you like it!

It is a bit repetitive, but that's to be expected from a themed type composition (sounds like it could be BGM), so it's not bad in that regard. I also love the use of harpsichord :)
I feel that the reverb for the instruments in the background is a bit much and the notes can get muddy at times. Maybe try and lessen that verb and make those instruments a bit more articulate?
That's my two cents anyway :P

I see what you mean there. I kind of agree. I tried to use the reverberation to sort of make it sound more realistic. Also I'm pretty sure I'll be getting rid of that thunder sound. It's start to sound like bubbles.

It feels danceable. It makes me think of Irish music actually, lol.
At 0:39 maybe you could have drooped out the bass sound when the harpsichord starts playing? I think that would help to make that phrase lighter and more contrasting. Also it would help to give more impact at 1:11 when the strings start playing the melody again. At 2:36 a fast crescendo could have create more excitement, and when the theme comes for its finale to make it a BAM. xD
