We've seen a few time manipulating games like Blinx and Time Shifter but I've never seen space manipulating games. Blinx 2 had space controls but wasn't really what I'm talking about and they were kind of lame. Space manipulation is not moving in a normal game I'm referring to a game that would allow the player to have a way to morph or bend demensional space. They could flatten something they could shrink something they could move in the fourth demension inward to reach some hidden room. May'be they could go through an object. I mean a real game for a system like ps3 that had a plot to it. not some cheap home made game.

Say you were in a room with no door or exit and there was some kind of rod floating from nowhere and if you used a shift control you could move inward through the fourth demension and see a door. You walk through the door and shift back to normal view. I think i'd be really fun to play. That's how I imagine my manga as a game kinda. ;)

Fez (http://polytroncorporation.com/61-2), Sky Island (armorgames.com/play/10899/sky-island), and Super Paper Mario (www.youtube.com/watch?v=P23XvyzJPaA) all utilize 2D/3D dimensional shifts. Fault Line (http://www.nitrome.com/games/faultline/[/url) has some fun spatial manipulation. But the game that's the closest to what you describe is definitely Miegakure (www.youtube.com/watch?v=87PbQv-H_4U).

I've never played it myself, but a few years ago, I watched my brother play Portal by Valve. I believe that it's technically a space-manipulating game, since with a teleportation portal, you're moving through virtual space in an unnatural manner (hence, space is being manipulated).

I agree : Portal manipulate space. Even if it can be considered as teleportation, the portals create a space modification by linking them with a tunnel.
Earlier, I tried this game: Shift (http://armorgames.com/play/751/shift). Another puzzle game in 2D. You don't really modify space as you say, but the "point of view" of the puzzle.
