Anyone seen this? It's freakin wierd. I don't understand this composition at all except for the fact that the large banged chords are precussive not harmonic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJ1KxMrhIEY

This had to be the most bizzarre piece of music I have ever heard. I can't say I like it, just too stupid. If someone else likes it, that's fine but this is just moronic. The beginning sounds like a youtube video stopping and starting lol. ^_^

I think the piece is wonderful, to be quite honest with you.

This is where music takes a stab at being more creative and original than methodical and astute (like the Canon Syndrome (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pidokakU4I)). It's not for tone or for rhythm, but more for the emotions of what is being stated. Try and picture a moment in time where you could imagine this song as a backdrop. Like some of the comments, I imagine it as a comedic scene. At the same time, there are some that see it as something painful.

This piece actually kind of gave me the chills, similar to In Memoriam Dresden, 1945

I'm with Mazeppa on this one. :) Another (rather cliche) suggestion I'd like to put in:

I love Threnody. Not only is it almost without rhythm, but it has barely any notion of pitch. Not JUST atonal, but without pitch at all. Unbelievable. Not what I listen to all the time, of course...

The most tortuous piece for me to listen to is Steve Reich's Four Organs (link (www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-swEvE7C6c)). I appreciate what he's trying to do, but..."the longest V-I cadence in the history of Western Music"? Geez.

These tracks work great in film. Take the drum track in this scene (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaZdFQcKvjk&t=0m50s) for example.

Chaotic by itself, magic in picture.

Hmm, yeah, strange, no rhythm sense, it's like impressionistic I think. I think it does make me laugh cause It sounds funny but at the sametime horrible as in emotionally like someone is just massacurring thousands of innocent people. This definately is a different style of it's own, I wouldn't consider it classical.
