Yesterday, one of my coworkers laughed when I told him I was an artist, and refused to believe I could draw. I hadn't finished a drawing in almost two years, but he pissed me off. So here's what I'm bringing him tomorrow:

I'm happy with how it came out, but obviously I would've been even happier if it'd come out better.
I'll have to start practicing again. = =

Ah, and I darkened up the ground a bit in the actual drawing, and made the border between the ground and the background a lot crisper, which is one of the worst problems in the scanned picture...I'd rescan, but I don't have a scanner at home, and had to go to my grandma's earlier to scan the first version. XD

Jesus, Joseph, and doggy-style Mary, that looks like a pile of dogshit!

A three-years-old daughter can draw better than that!

Is your co-worker artistically inclined? A person with little or zero artistic background would not appreciate this work as much it should be appreciated, but a person who knows art would know that this work would take an arm and leg to pull off if you don't have at least 2 years of experience in art school. Then again, I'm no expert in art, so don't take my word for it. :heh:

Holy Sexy Scottish Nun! hahah. Well... how should I say my reaction was... Let's see... I saw it and was like "what the fu*k??" I didn't know he can draw like this... let alone draws this kind of things. Much appreciation. Just to let you know... you should straighten out the drawing. It seems tilted to the right a little bit. Maybe you can use photoshop or something... or something, you know... *cough rescan it...

Heheh, it's true. Most of the non-artists I showed were like "oh, that's nice...?" The artists I showed were all much more impressed, hahah. XD

Thanks Ander. I've actually wanted to draw something like this for awhile now, but I was too lazy to try. I'm happy with the way it came out! And I don't think the drawing was scanned crooked - it's just that the ground the cup is sitting on is crooked and fuzzy in the scanned version. Like I said up top, I already fixed those problems, though; after I noticed how tilted it looked, I couldn't leave it alone, hahah. X3

And one of my coworkers took the drawing today. When he saw it he was like "wow, can I have it?! I'm gonna frame it and hang it!" I hate parting with drawings, but when people ask, I feel like I have to oblige. So I don't have it anymore, lol. X3

Anyway, thanks for the comments, guys! I told my coworkers I'd show them my "true power" with a painting next week, so hopefully I'll work up the willpower to paint something this weekend, lol. It's been almost two years since my last painting, so I'm definitely due!

Well that's pretty neat.
