This is for my laptop. Note: I do not use the ethernet cord at home and I always use wireless network.

Heh, my laptop is way too slow... :heh: can't blame it since it's a 3+ year old computer still running XP. :P Below is the speed of my wireless.

You guys quit complaining. :P Australia has the lamest internet speeds of any developed country. :\

Note this is cable on the fastest plan you can get for rural Australia. You can't actually even get these speeds normally for my state in rural areas, there have been a few modifications to the line at our end and the company's end to get it this fast.

Just another note this is for rural Australia, for urban and metropolitan I'd imagine the speeds would have the potential to be much faster.

EDIT: I should note I use wireless in my house... and my computer is on the complete opposite side of the house from the router. Still works great, though.

LOL. I did not make a thread simply to show off my internet speed. I know there are people with better speed than my computer. XD Just to be honest, my desktop is lying to me about how freakin' fast it is. It's even slower than my laptop! :P

^Ah. True true. Depending on how many students are on the computer, it also depends on the speed. That can be the only reason why my school's computers are so slow... T_T

I always have crappy internet... I spent many years in dial-up then I moved to DSL and could download at 50kbps, then at 100kbps. Now when I moved to US I could download at 2mbps in a WIFI Spot next to the house, but... it is dead and now I download at 100kbps or less using a wireless home internet from a family member in the house next to this one. xD

Not to mention tortillas and corn chips have been proven to weaken the surrounding wifi-signal.

My speed result is,download=1.09Mbps and my upload=0.87Mbps and i check my speed from http://www.scanmyspeed.com/ and the reason why im using this speed checker is that i dont have flash to support speedtest.net so i went for this and without java and flash its working..
