Kinda like the random lack of Zero no Tsukaima's closing book regarding Void magicians in the recent anime years.

Looking to be the first promising season in a long time. I'll definitely take a look at F/Z and maybe SnS III. Plenty of other series with a lot of potential too.

Apparently Zero no Tsukaima season 4 (final season?) will be airing in the Autumn too...surprising to say the least.

Random tidbit here, but apparently they've announced a 4th season to Zero no Tsukaima. I've been flabbergasted.

Whoa? I thought Code Geass new season was going to air somewhere around that time too? Ah... probably december.
Is Persona good? Everyone seems to like it.

List is updated to v5. With the Fall season coming very soon, I'm getting all giddy. After a quick scan at the list, I'm going to take a look at all but 5 of them...it's subject to change however hahahah

Thanks for these lists, Chris. They're how I find all my anime. XD
Taking a look at Chihayafuru right now. =D

Edit: Pretty sure I'm gonna love this show. There wasn't one fight scene, face fault, or upskirt in the first episode. And it looks like it even has a story! Have I found the rarest sort of anime?!
It kind of reminds me of Kamichu, actually, with the pacing and atmosphere it has going on, which is a very good thing for me. :3

So we moved back a step again to the moeblob that's not even slightly entertaining.

~Ohoho, how did I know either you or Zero would have something to say? Maybe it's because I've always found your taste in anime to be objectively terrible? =P
And Zero just likes to talk. Heheh. ;)

So please, o wise one, direct the lowly type B anime fans such as myself to the greater shows of the Fall season? The Summer season would be nice, also, since I'm sure I watched all the wrong ones a few months ago, too!

Gosh I know, what a joke. It's time to take back OUR anime from THEIR fascist moeblob otaku oppression.

It wasn't meant intended as a personal attack. Sorry if you saw it this way. Honestly, last year I stopped watching new anime due to the shift of focus to the character's existence instead of the plot, so I'm not able to direct you anywhere on any anime this season.

K-On fuck yeahhhh.

I didn't, don't worry. You just love to hate the anime I love, so I knew you'd show up in this thread. XD
And it's too bad you haven't watched anything this year. You missed a few great shows!
I think you'd actually like Nichijou. Even though it'd usually fall into the slice of life genre, it doesn't quite fit there. It's a ridiculous surrealist comedy that has some surprisingly poignant messages to convey. It was definitely a labor of love - everything oozes personality. You can tell the original manga author and the KyoAni staff working on it really enjoyed their work on it. Also, it lost money for KyoAni, meaning it didn't match the tastes of all the disgusting fanservice loving idiot otaku out there, so that's a sign of quality too, in my opinion. I'd suggest watching it. You'll probably think "heh, more moeblob trash" for the first five episodes or so (since I though "yes, moeblobs! =D") for the first five or so, but you'll slowly start to see what the show's about. It made me cry a few times toward the end!

Also, Usagi Drop was good. It was another slice of life, but not the moeblob sort. It had a dryer atmosphere, like the slower episodes of Hidamari Sketch, and one of the players in the pair of main characters was a 35ish year old male, which was very refreshing.

AnoHana and Tiger & Bunny were pretty good. AnoHana was just fun to watch unravel. Tiger & Bunny was stupid, cheap entertainment, but I couldn't stop myself from liking it, since it knew it was stupid, and just didn't give a shit.

Bakuman's out now, and I can't get enough of that, since I'm an artist, hahah.

Mawaru Penguin Drum is pretty good. A little silly and overly artsy, but I think the director did a good job keeping the cheesiness down while keeping it interesting. I always want to see what happens the next episode, even if I facepalm once or twice while watching it. XD

So yeah, it's been a pretty good year for anime, I think. Nichijou's one of my favorite shows ever now, hahah.

Edit: Ah, Chihayafuru is looking better and better, too. You might actually like it, even if you didn't like Kamichu (which vexes me). Now that I think about it, it might be more accurate to compare it to Hikaru no Go instead of Kamichu, anyway. There's a clear storyline to it, and the storyline is "I'm going to be the best god damned card player on the planet, NO MATTER WHAT," which is pretty cool. You can tell the author really loved the crap out of this card game, because you'll want to start playing it too after the first few episodes, hahah.

We received Steins;Gate, Madoka, Persona 4 and Fate/Zero as presents from the anime santa this year.
What more could you ask for? A bag full of bondaged loli?
