I just wanted to do something fun before the summer ended and came up with this idea.

The Competition: On July 31, this compeition will start. I will be uploading a piece of music for people to transcribe/arrange. EVERYONE is welcome to participate.

Rules:
The arrangement must be for piano and must be playable by one piano player.
The music must be notated via standard orchestral notation

The goal is not to have the most accurate transcription but the most creative/best sounding arrangement. I hope this will put the more experienced transcribers on a more even ground with beginner transcribers as creativity will be a much bigger part in this competition. The compeition will be judged by 3 judges, myself, Brncao and one more whom I have not chosen yet.

I'm open to any suggestions and comments.

Seeing as this is a transcribing nd arranging contest, I think the quality of the sheet music produced should as well be a judging criterion.

I haven't done anything this whole summer, so participating in a transcribing contest sounds like a good way to get my brain warmed-up for the upcoming school year!
