Prerequisites:

1) No musical background is assumed.
2) Motivation.

Some notes about this lesson: I taught this as my first lesson for my Rudiments course - and it was a LOT to throw at them (which was required because of the pace that we have to take for the class). It is a lot of material - no doubt about that - but, the students told me it was definitely doable to learn all of this material in a week.

Lesson I: Click here (http://www.filefreak.com/files/798108_237dp/Music%20Theory%20Church.pdf) for a .pdf file (1 MB ).

Errata:

1) Cb major for the bass clef, in p. 16, is not drawn correctly - check online (like here (http://www.piano-lessons-info.com/bass-clef-scales.html)) for the correct key signature. The key signature was cut off when the page was scanned.

Feedback is appreciated. The first lesson was taught according to concepts that I learned in my first Theory course, thanks to Dr. Christiansen.
