It dawned on my that my Tankoubon OEL Manga I'm doing has time controls where the characters can pause, rewind, ff and SLow time but I don't really have any ideas on how to make it appear that way since they're still images. I'd have to invent some kind of lines the appeared as if it was paused or slowed. Any ideas?

For time being stopped, just show fast-moving objects without any motion blur applied to them, like water droplets falling, or a humming-birds wings flapping about.
For time being rewound and such, just use more than one frame. People will get the idea pretty easily when they see a bridge rebuild itself over a few frames.

Easy! ;P

Cool, great ideas but what about Slow? May'be I could apply a tone pattern over all the panels while the time control is active... May'be multiple images overlayed like a lag effect?
