So what are the funniest animes you have ever seen?

I would say that Gintama is number 1 on my list of funny animes with Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san as a close second. However both(especially yondemasu yo) have very crude humor. So just be warned if decide to give them a try. xD

May I ask what Gintama is about? I have never heard of it.

I have to say, though, school rumble, maria holic and dozens of shojo anime that have hilarious moments, funnier than most comedy anime...
I won't go into funny manga, but I could list far more... I read more manga than I watch anime... not that I don't spend far too much time watching anime...

The funniest I´ve ever read is Azumanga Daioh. You should see it >.< Full Metal Alchemist also has great funny moments. Bakuman, the new serie of Death Note´s authors is very good too. And I have to say that Ryuk, on Death Note, give some funny to the series.
And Bobobo of course! That anime gets all CRAZY and you don´t mention here!

I liked the baseball episode of Samurai Champloo, pretty laughable.

I believe Excel Saga still is the insane one there in the anime/manga universe. You should see the trailer of the anime if you don't believe me. XD
