Natural . . innate? I've always thought that talent was something everybody had to work on (to some extent, depending on the person) to develop a particular skill . . . that way, technically it's possible for everybody to have a talent.

Guns. From the age of 4, I've been plinking with BB-guns, .22 caliber handguns (revolvers and simple blowback action autoloaders), and at 8, I moved up to the famous .38 Special.

Now I've gotten into handloading ammunition for my .357 Magnum, and may consider handloading for my AKM (7.62x39mm Soviet is pretty cheap, even as offered by the American Eagle and UMC brands-cheap variants of Federal and Remington-but it could always be cheaper).

Now I just need to get my concealed carry permit, and been thinking of working up a high velocity medium-game/personal defense load (something like 180 gr. FMJ-for real stopping power, so the criminal is put down, and stays down).

I'm good at writing. Ever since I was about three I've always read and wrote stories and poetry. I learnt to write at a very young age so I never really had a chance to learn to love anything as much as I love writing and manipulating words. I'm also a singer; it's pretty lame, but I love singing, I sing everywhere, at home, at school, on stage, in musicals. Everywhere.

I also have a small talent for drawing, but nothing worth mentioning.
A while ago, I really wanted to develop my computing talents into hacking, but I never really worked up the nerve (or understood the lingo of the 'Hacking for Idiot' books), so I gave up.
Oh and I forgot my strangest two talents;
One: Guessing people's thoughts and futures
Two:Being able to memorize completely random things instantly whilst reading. (E.g: I memorized that JFK was killed in Dallas across from the Dealy Plaza on 22 November 1963...I read the sentence once and it wasn't even really about the Assassination *sigh* Stupid)

My mom says I have a talent for math ( i do get good grades) but i hate it with every fiber of my soul *burning flame in eyes* except geometry... now that was just fun.

Umm i know i have a talent for piano.i have been playing abou 2 years and i just finished "every heart" for my recital song (the every heart version here at ichigos.com, you know with the spiffy 32nd note strech XD) and have almost completed up to the "intermediate" level

My talent is doing makeup for people. I guess I should be good at it if I want it to be my future career. :shifty:

Well I sing :neko: I&#39;m a mezzo-soprano, and I do sing some Opera. I&#39;m a band too, called "Twistedly Lovely", lead vocalist, and we&#39;re hoping to release a cd soon through this Help for young musicians program. Not gonna be full on New Age Opera (I&#39;m so like the only one I know who likes Opera...lol...=_= ) but we&#39;ve got some good stuff. Two bass players, a drummer and moi. And I act, somewhat, school productions and stuff, not ready to break a leg on Broadway yet..

Meh, I envy you singers :( I miss being in choir, me and my friends always sung the descants at Christmas. Acting is awesome - I really enjoy it but I&#39;m too shy to get involved in amateur dramatics. The coolest singing I ever did was Mme Thenardier in our school&#39;s production of Les Mis - that was SO much fun :D The only singing I do now is around the house - meh.

I want to hear josh&#39;s ear-popping secret too&#33; :P That would be so handy to have for plane flights and hilly car journeys - I get such bad blocked ears on planes ;)

I can do a lot of things. Apparently I have a pretty singing voice, but I think I sound like a little kid singing. I do pretty well in Art too, but normally I have no inspiration to start doing anything. I used to be good at everything except sport and RE at school, but now it&#39;s all in French I&#39;ve just flopped.

How to un-pop ears: Pinch your nose closed, then try to breathe out through it. *Unpop* There you go&#33; Not too hard though, or you&#39;ll blow out your eardrums. (This isn&#39;t how I do it usually, what I do is breathe out through my mouth like I&#39;m yawning... it&#39;s a bit hard to explain. But this way works too)

How to pop ears: This one&#39;s hard to explain too... Scrunch up your nose like you smell something bad, then inhale sharply. *Pop* (I originally evolved (&#39;evolved&#39;?) this ability when I was a little kid, as a way to protect my hearing every New Year&#39;s Eve-- all those firecrackers going off everywhere&#33; Not that popped ears are any less prone to damage, but not being able to hear the noise as well felt like it helped.)

My talent is odd. I dont know what its called though, I can feel peoples feelings deeply. Like if someone was sad id know that they were sad and if I was connected to them enough id know why they were sad too(without them telling me) I can feel peoples happiness and all other sorts of things the stronger the feeling the more information i can get. Like this one girl i really liked (deep connection) was thinking about her uncle and how she didnt want him to visit and through that i knew his age how many kids he had and if he had a wife. It also helps me when i fight too i can feel where the other will strike its fun&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;

I suppose playing the piano is one of my talents, (been playing for 4 years and working towards 2nd diploma level), but it&#39;s not exactly like i just have a natural gift for it- i worked really hard at learning the flute beforehand and had a fairly wide musical knowledge through the theory exams. So its not really a natural gift, more just applying everything i worked like hell for on the flute to the piano.

I can pick up languages very easily (german, french and japanese), but apart from french i go to pot when they get beyond an intermediate level (to be fair though, im still a beginner at japanese- thats what happened with german).

My only natural talent is intuition (dno if thats right word), but i can tell if something bad is going to happen and when i meet new people i know straight away what they are like, without having to talk to them. I can also tell if others are upset, and usually have a fair idea why. I&#39;m also telepathic with those who i am close to, like i finish off their sentences or we end up saying the exact same thing at the same time, or one of us will be thinking something and the other will say it. It isn&#39;t down to chance, because it happens so often it can get annoying- but i dont think this is just something I can do- i think that if theres someone you&#39;re really close to, everyone gets this.

i think my talent is learning stuff in general. whether its music, languges, class, games, and etc

My natural talent is not looking angry when I am angry. Maybe I just lack the angry expression. Unfortunately, I lack music talent, years of playing the piano without much progress, it is a sad thing.

I guess one of my main talents are for music. Singing, dancing ect. And art. I draw in the manga style and people sometimes make fun of me for drawing like that. x.x Yet they always run at me when we have to pick partners for art class. I made the mistake of telling my future teacher that I'm making a comic with my sister over the summer, and now he wants a copy. Great. He's going to get a star-shaped comic of my vacation. XD

I have many talents...

My most outstanding ones are:

Musical ability: I have had a natural ability for music since as long as I can remember, plus I can imitate most people's styles quite easily... As proof, I can offer this: I have only been involved in music for 3 years, however, I can play 5+ instruments, and I am in Advanced Mixed Chorus at school.

The ability to read people: Okay, this one's a bit more complicated... I can tell a lot about people just by little things that they do subconsciously. I can usually tell if I want to hang around a person within an hour or so, just based on actions and terms and other things. I feel as if I can also read people's auras, but this hasn't been formally confirmed, so I can't count it. I am very observant when it comes to people, and it is not intentional (most of the time, that is...)

Quick Learning: I can usually learn something the first time I hear it...

Knack for languages: I can usually understand most languages that are spoken to me, and though officially, I am bilingual (Spanish and English), I can speak little tidbits of languages and sound like a natural. However, Japanese is different. Due to the fact that Japanese is NOT a latin derived language, I cannot speak it as well as the others, but I can pronounce some words within 95% accuracy of that which a Japanese native would.

Education & Tests: I am very proficient in school, and especially tests, due to my aforementioned quick learning ability. I would prefer a "hard" test any day over homework. That is the only reason that I do not have a 4.0 average. But I did used to...

Weapons Skills and Knowledge: I can use most any weapon that is placed in my hands, and I can also think of how I can use ordinary things (such as a broom, for example) and turn it into a LETHAL weapon. My weapons expertise mostly covers firearms, however. I can tell you lots of info about all kinds of popular firearms, as well as some not so popular ones. I kind of go into knives and things, but not much. I do enjoy using a butterfly knife (knife with a special handle, which splits into two and can be used to "show off" with...) and throwing knives, though. As to turning ordinary objects into lethal weapons, it is a hobby that I have had for the past year or two. I use my knowledge of human weak points and vital areas to devise what I could do with any particular household item. You'd be surprised with the many uses I've come up with for some things...

And ther you have it, my main talents. As I stated earlier, I have many, and these are only a few.

As to whether or not I believe that everyone has a talent, of course I do! Everyone has a talent, they just have to look for it.

My talents:

Music. I can read music like English. (Which I tell people. Often. ;) ) I can't play any instrument other than the violin to my satisfaction... however, "to my satisfaction" means "better than everyone around me," so I could be okay at the instruments I just happen to pick up... I dunno.

Uh... reading. I'm really good at reading anything you could give me, and enjoying it, too. I'm good at analyzing stories and poetry, though I dislike doing it, and one of my greatest joys is to discuss the symbolism of things with people... who generally smile and back away. :P
Sarcasm is an offshoot of being literate, I think. I have an extremely large vocabulary.

For some reason, I'm really good at Spanish, though I've only taken it for a year. Dunno about other languages, but I can tutor other people at Spanish.

Laeluu, I am so jealous!! I have only one talent. My hands are double jointed. But it is kind of annoying as well because lots of people just look at my fingers when I point or my thumb when I write and go "Eww, there's something wrong with your finger. Its bending the wrong way!!" :cry:

Hmm, I find that I have a talent for most things that I WANT to do, but if whatever I'm doing gets boring I move onto something else. I was good at taekwondo (double graded twice) but got bored, so I left. Piano, got bored. Singing-couldn't be bothered going to lessons. Swimming-got bored again XD I guess I have a talent for adaption ^_^

Haha, me too actually - I like to try many things, are usually pretty successful at it initially, though interest usually wanes afterwards (except maybe with music, though still, it's kind of an on and off deal :P). I guess it's nature's way of counterbalancing things ;).

Well, I also have a talent for drawing... Ever since I can remember, I've always been good at putting on paper what I can see with my eyes. So, I have kinda 2 drawing styles: a realistic one and manga.
I am also blessed physicall... I mean, I am not a beauty, but I have a good shape (even though I don't do a lot of sport....) And just to do a little sport from time to time will improve my shape rapidly...
Finally, I guess I can say I have a talent for music and especially for computers... Well... mostly for using computer programs ( I am still learning how to fix my computer and the names of the parts inside....) I just use the program and guess how it works! So... I think I am blessed with talent... even though, I do believe talent is something you get with practice more than something you have...

Wow, I've never been in this thread before! My talents... um... I play piano pretty well--I'd be a lot better if I played less video game music and more of the classical stuff, but let's face it, it's so much more fun to play a really complicated version of the Mario overworld theme and make everyone laugh.

I can make cookies like no one's business, write song parodies if the notion strikes me, act (I recently played Jill in "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten"), and I have a knack for spelling and grammar. Oh, and I can wear my hair in pigtails and get away with it. ^_^

I am weird and I seem to be good at making new friends GO ME!!! I don't know of any really good talents. I just hate bragging about myself but if asked to do so I shall tell...........

I am good at staying unique but not being stupid while doing so. Hmm...... that sounds pretty good to me.^_^

Erm... let's see a natural talent... I guess the only talent that I've never had to work at is being able to make-up things. So far, I've made up my own sign language (not based on THE sign language at all, except that you use body motions) and I've thought up of all of these answers and theories according to "why" questions. But I don't think that's really a talent, just this weird... "quirk" of mine... O.o

I'm pretty good with languages, I suppose *that* is my talent. ^_^ I'm also quite good at sewing; even with the machine. :)

Swearing makes me laugh. When someone swears at me, I start to laugh at them. They're all probably thinking, "Wtf^ m8."

Ooo I have discovered a new talent that I have ummmm................I am a really great procrastinator....YAY!! And I like to try new things but I don't really consider that a talent.......but I think it is one of my better characteristics. ^_^
