This was a girl that I drew to test out my copic color markers I don't love the picture in general but I like the shading that I did.

And here's another girl that I drew about almost a year ago.

Whoa.... her eyes are so bluuue! haha. It reminds me of the book titled "The Bluest Eyes" by Toni Morrison. The second drawing is cute. Pig tail was definitely a plus.

Yeah lol The copic color marker was really sensitive lol thanks for some reason my drwaings keep coming out really large

Very simple looking drawing. I think it's too simple. Well at least to me. The eyes are kinda too far apart, and her mouth is kinda small... Or.... her head is too big.

I like the mouth I think it goes very well with the eyes, but hey you can't please everyone so thanks for your constructive criticism I will try and learn from this.

This is a girl that I drew yesterday! This is the first drawing like this that I have done so it's not amazing, but I don't think it's too bad lol

I'm still a bit puzzled why you said "first drawing like this". Are you talking about full body picture?

Yeah I'm usually always doing faces, but know I'm trying to broaden my horizon by drawing more of the body.

you know what.... I kinda dig your shading. something about it creates a bit of depth in your drawing. and i'm not sure but i think the hair does the same thing your shading does... create depth. I like the one without the mask better cause... well it's got depth.

I agree with you I didn't get as detailed with the second as I did the first, and I also don't really like the second mainly because the lines are sloppy. lol But both of these were intended to be reference drawings for a bigger drawing that I'm going to do of both of them, but I liked the first one too much for it just to be a reference drawing so I fixed the second one up and I kept them.

What shading? I spot two dark areas in his last 2 drawings; the eyes in one drawing that don't count, and the house and bottom lip.

Try more original work too btw, you aren't bad and copy art is meaningless unless full of technique

There wasn't supposed to be any kind of shading because I kinda go overboard sometimes and I wanted to make something without any shading to see how it would come out.

As for my art not being original I understand I kinda suck at drawing original pieces so I practice with different manga/anime art styles to learn more about it.

Nice! I really love Hei and the way you draw him. Good job and I was just like you before, lol. When you kinda try to mimic other drawings and "copy" them, you learn the many techniques they use to draw the eyes, etc. :D

seems like your style is changing a bit. I like he first one the best. I still think the bodies of your drawings are still too small compare to their eyes . o O (I think) Who am I kidding... I know they are. Especially the third one. Her head is waiiiiy to big. The second one is okay but her body is still too small. The first one can be passed as a young kid so I think that body size is appropriate. I'm also noticing some of your line work. It's getting a whole lot cleaner. If I remember correctly it wasn't always this clean, was it? Or am I thinking of someone else?

I like the way you added the wrinkles to the clothings (as I always have trouble with that) and the shadings~ I especially like the first one. :)

I know my heads have been way to big lately lol And my lines have gotten alot cleaner I've been using a mechanical pencil lately and I usually use an H pencil.

Interesting. One thing I really noticed was the headband. I don't believe it's that small. Perhaps you really wanted to include his hair, but sometime hiding the things the people want to see is part of art that you should consider. It drives their feelings. Other than that I really enjoyed his hand. It looks like the angle is very probable and believable.

Pretty sweet! Definitely dig the foreshortening of the arm... and I dig even more how you enlarged the hand. AWESOME!!! I can't help but to say that your face is a little inconsistence. It looks nice but I think it's a bit off. HOWEVER! I can't really complain... cause it looks nice. It actually look like his face is in motion. So I guess it isn't inconsistence. I just love how you make your drawings have volumes.

I took a look at it carefully. It's good use of shades... and everything makes sense. including both of his shoulders. and then i looked at the inside of his shirt... or coat. I think you should make that part really dark. The eye definitely brings out the character. It's a cool moment looking too.

I really like the blackstar one. I especially like the eyes. Especially because at first I didn't realize he had a pair of green eyes.

Oh and naruto came out great but sasuke looks like he's about to blow me a giant flaming ball of death! Especially with his dark face. lol

There's alot of things you can find from your own drawings... like... why does mine have negative space or why do you have alot of portraits and things like that. Sometimes it's scary actually.

I'm gonna be honest I have a lot of portraits because I suck at drawing feet lol
