Well, I hope Trance music counts for musical compositions.
Afterall, it is composing. :)
Here's the latest thing I've done, feel free to look around and listen to my other songs!

The entrance of bass is nice.... Oo... and the percussion's entrance is even nicer. I don't know if this is trance though. Actually it is. Nevermind. hahah. I first thought it was like one of Linkin Park's music then... that swooshing sounded great. Actually... it still kinda feels like.... Nevermind... HAhaha.. you seem to keep doing that: going in and out of trance style. But I think you definitely committed to the good ol' Trance! But to be honest... I think I've grown out of trance, but I don't mind getting back into it, since I need things to listen to.

Hahah thanks for the listen!
It was a kinda unique song, I tried to make it sound similar to pop at times, it's not my usual trance but it kept you entertained I think? :)

Enjoyable piece of music, Holo. Here are my thoughts as I listened along:
-Reliable old vi-IV-I-V, eh? (Or i-VI-III-VII, if you prefer.)
-Right off the bat, I like the piano, and the orchestral backdrop works nicely, though it does come off as a bit bottom-heavy initially. Had you considered implementing a 16th note or 8th note delay to some of the treble piano lines?
-I'm not a big fan of the percussion (imagine this with ethnic drums, chimes, etc... it'd be a whole new genre!), but it is definitely in keeping with the style you're going for.
-Nice panning/crossfading by about 2 minutes in.
-Those wacky arpeggios are reminiscent of something out of a Kirby game, they're so bubbly! Haha.
-Overall, the points where you dropped/reincorporated the percussion work very well.
I would love to see what you would be capable of in a less formula-heavy genre. I'm by no means a trance expert, but when I do dabble in listening to it, I typically get tired of the repetition and unadventurous chord progressions before long. On the other hand, I know that these two elements are defining traits of most forms of trance. Regardless, you have a real knack for this genre, ~Holo, and I hope you continue to develop your sound and skills. :)
PS: Your video's thumbs up count has increased by one! ;)

Thanks for the input! :D
I've been trying lately to make trance that has a less repetitive feel to it too. I know some people like the same thing over and over but it's too easy to make. Making things that have different feels and different melodies take a little bit more work and therefore are more fun!

Wow, alright, so I'm happy something like this is being put up on Ichigo's. It's something definitely refreshing, and I'm happy EDM is getting a little more attention on this website after being here for six years. :)
Ignoring the titles, this piece is really nice. I love hearing more orchestral elements in dance music, and the way you incorporated the strings were with a great taste -- their balance and thickness came out perfect. However, I will say that it will take a few more times to "enjoy" the horns and brass... I'm just not *quite* feeling their vibe in the song quite yet, but they do sound like something that'l grow on me ;) (and they are, listening to this the second time through). The piano loop is nice, and the background effects on it are a nice touch.
Noticing the tempo of the song at the beginning, I had a little bit of a turn in my stomach at calling this Trance, especially when the [first] beat came in. The song definitely had a pop-vibe to it, which is the only way I could describe it, since it isn't quite "hip-hop" either... I would guess the feel is closer to that of dubstep, to be quite honest. The sounds and patterns you used are fairly typical to which is found in Trance, however, when the four-the-the-floor beat came in at ~2:50, it basically turned into a Happy-Hardcore jam. It's a bit hard to get into a "trance" with the crazy arpeggios (which I absolutely loved, by the way) and quick beat with the [very] jumpy bass-line. I felt like getting up and doing something, or playing a fast-paced video game with intensity and focus (now I'm going through the motions yet again listening to this for a third time, ha!). Since I'm mentioning the beat, you might want to turn down the volume on the snare on 2 and 4-- it cuts through everything just a little too much.
All in all, this is something fresh to our community. I can't recall much other EDM being put on this website other than from myself and maybe some others from here every so often. Anyway, this is great, I do love it, I just had a little bit of a cringe calling this straight up "Trance" but should probably be labeled "Happy Trancecore" if anything-- which is something you don't necessarily hear, but you definitely could make it a new genre ;)
Keep it up!

Hahaha, well thanks for the input :)
It's good when people go through and analyze my songs, because then I know what to work on for the next things I work on. :D
