What's your dream house and why? Are you currently living there? Are your plans realistic?

At this point in my life the apartment is pretty okay but eventually I want to live on a self sufficient farm/orchard up in the mountains. I'd say my dream is pretty realistic and easily obtainable.

My ideal home? If money is no issue, I have a few in mind.

I'd like to someday live in a penthouse. The thought of being able to see the entire city at night and live/sleep above everybody else is pretty cool to me. Of course, this is quite the typical dream and I probably won't be able to obtain this dream unless I become an overachiever.

I also would like to reside in a two-storey bungalow complete with my own garage and backyard. It doesn't have to look rich or elaborate, just something modern and functional. In my opinion, these type of houses are the best to raise a family in. Quiet, spacious and sufficient, although expensive.

That ends my list of houses for now. Maybe next time I'll list some of the cheaper and more realistic houses.

In the UK, a bungalow means a house with only one storey..the ground level floor. Is a two storey one with a basement, or am I missing something here? :P

Also, I'd like to live here: http://www.kingwest.co.uk/mkth1796-orlingbury-hall
Realistic? Yeah, I think so.. :P

Really? In Malaysia/Singapore, houses like this (http://www.google.com.sg/search?tbm=isch&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hl=en&source=hp&biw=1280&bih=641&q=malaysia+bungalow&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2&oq=malaysia+bungalow&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=s&gs_upl=0l0l0l925l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0ll0l0) and this (http://www.google.com.sg/search?tbm=isch&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hl=en&source=hp&biw=1280&bih=641&q=malaysia+bungalow&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2&oq=malaysia+bungalow&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=s&gs_upl=0l0l0l925l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0ll0l0#hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US%3Aofficial&gbv=2&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=singapore+bungalow&pbx=1&oq=singapore+bungalow&aq=f&aqi=g3&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=257758l259244l0l259345l10l9l0l0l0l4l308l148 0l2.4.2.1l9l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=8c2094b0c9c15f63&biw=1280&bih=641) are considered bungalows. :heh: I guess it's different in other countries. In the UK, what would you call these type of houses?

No he's just really deep and feely with a touch of dark angst mixed in there.

I would love to live in an authentic arts and crafts bungalow, something decrepit even so I can work on it.

They'd just be 'houses' to us. Bungalows here look like this (http://www.flanaganhomes.co.uk/media/images/CRW_0279-Eastward_Road-Bungalow.jpg). Theyre the sort of places old folks tend to live as they dont have any stairs.

Actually I'd like a farm or something, not actually with animals, just a nice house in the country, has to be big (I has lots of stuffs) and away from anything noisy.

Hmm, whenever I think of these things, I only need one thing. A room hidden behind a bookcase :P
It'll be a hidden gameroom/office thing inside my house

On the topic of houses, I'm more comfortable living in an apartment building. Therefore, my ideal would be a moderately apartment somewhere above the 3rd or 4th floor because I like being high up.

But yeah, secret bookcase room. If I have that, I'm happy 8D
And I'm completely serious about it, when I get my own place I'm building one

not entirely sure how it moved from being about your dream house to being about people's actions...
anyway, without thinking about money (or reality... :heh:), I'd like a castle close to a busy city with a beautiful hall at the entrance and enough space for large ensembles to play in...

In reality, I'd like to end up with enough money to have a relatively large place in a nice part of London.

Huh... My ideal home? I have two options I'm willing to choose from and be happy with.

I'm into those casual mansions and I really would like to build one in a peaceful place in Japan. Quite possibly a huge empty mass of land where you can see the sun and the moon clearly. If possible, I would probably hire some maids and butlers to do my casual chores. (Don't worry... I plan to treat them very well as if they're my friends.) Maybe a nice library full of books (and manga) to read next to the clear glass window when the sun sets... Nothing's more relaxing than being alone and staring out toward a nice scenery. I would totally live my life like that. :)

Or I could just stay in the United States and have a normal two story house. Nothing much to expect in the house except that it'll be big enough for a family or two to stay in there. :)

My dream house would be in the woods with an old, cabin-style design, although modern. There would be one large room as the main living room with a huge ceiling, and second floor balcony serving as the second floor connected to the first floor by ladders, with the main balcony as my bedroom overlooking the main living room (with a fireplace of course), with an optional sliding curtain for privacy. Oh, and a few small rooms on the first floor for others and bathrooms, etc. Of course, it would make a great one-person home, but not really for a family if you get my drift.

Something like this would be nice.

http://www.housedesigntrend.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/Grangegorman-House-Modern-Minimalist-House-1.jpg

I like this kind of stuff. Minimal, compact and just... peaceful :3 Possibly decorated with some Oriental and Victorian elements would be nice as well.

However, I also like Zero's place...maybe a nice black Steinway would be the finishing touch xD
