Hello, I want to know how can I improve the quality of the sound of my song. Letīs see:

I work with Finale 2010, via MIDI, and I export mp3 directly from this software: of course, they sound like in the program. I know that Finale can also use VST, but I have no idea of how I have to install them, because I have installed Nuendoīs VST but Finale doesnīt detect them. Should Finale do it?
And thereīs another thing. As I said, I also have Nuendo 4, that can import MIDIs and assign VSTs to the tracks. But I havenīt found good instruments for it. However, what is the best way to obtain a good sound using this two programs only?

Thank you for your help ^.^

Ahh.. So if during the vst installation the vst file should be in the default folder but in case it wasnt add the directory in the "manage vst plugins" menu
When thats done press Ctrl + Alt + I and select ur vst on the dropdown menu. Press the pencil shaped button and it should be pretty straightfoward after that.
Hopes this helps

Yes, it helped a little bit. I was seeing all this. Letīs see. In the "FinaleVST" folder thereīs a VST called finalesoftsynth_vst.dll or something like that. So, I have one VST. When I open Ctrl + Alt + I appears the VST Instruments setup, which has 3 collumns. The instrument, the fx and the master fx. I also can see that in the channels 1 to 16 I have activated the Finale Softh Synth. I canīt assign a VST for each channel, itīs divided in 1-16, 17-32, etc. All the settings look correct but when I try to play Finale through VST, it doesnīt sound.

And I realised that I have the ASIO4all controller installed (for the Nuendo), and it canīt access to the audio output. Extra information: Nuendo VST works, but not the midi.
How can I do to solve this problem? Does somebody know it?

Thanks!

If you want a different Vst you will have to set it into the next range of channels accessible via instrument list.

Solved the incompatibility with the ASIO.
But I donīt have installed the Garritan sounds for Finale, which are calleld "Instruments for Finale 2010" I think. If somebody can send my the libraries or know some good VST, please say me.

And thanks for the help, Equisix.

I have finale 2011 but the vst file should be in the right filder by default. If its not

Configuring VSTAt installation you will be prompted for the vstplugins folder directory. The installer will attempt to locate an existing vstplugins folder, or you can specify your own. You can always find the VST in the Garritan/Aria Player/VST directory. The VST plug-in ends in a .dll extension. In your host’s VST plug-in configuration menu, ensure that the specified installation directory is included in the list of VST directories. You may need to re-scan the folders to have ARIA Player VST appear in the list of software instruments.
From there, just load your ARIA product and go! You will find the VST listed as ARIA Player VST.dll, which contains a single stereo output, and ARIA Player Multi VST.dll, which allows you to assign up to 16 stereo outputs.
